Hey! July 30th, 2005 cruise to Mexico DISfriends!

Hey Kathy!! We're playing in WAGS on Columbus Day weekend. Actually we'll be in Gaithersburg, MD! I think that's right (usually we stay in VA for this tournament.)

I admit Bill, the Reds do stink!!! I knew it, but I do like "funnin'" with ya! I guess the vodka is on me (I'll buy it, I mean!!)

Thusday I came home from work. M & M were playing in the back yard while I helped John with the lawn mower deck. I heard Mallory crying, so I went to check her out. She said her arm hurt. I "kissed it and made it better" and went on to work. However, about 10 minutes later I discover her and Marshall in the backyard. She was STILL crying and he was consoling her. Come to find out when she fell off the swing she was more hurt than I realized. I proceeded to take her to the doctor for x-rays and yes it was a broken arm!!! It broke the radius bone very near her growth plate. I had to take her to the bone specialist on Friday and she now dons a bright purple cast from fingers to above the elbow! :guilty:

However, we still followed through on our quest to Chicago. We left Friday after the doctor and arrived about 11:00 p.m. On Sat. (now don't be shocked guys :rotfl2: ) I just HAD to go to Wrigley Field (not like I hadn't been there!). We watched a little bit of the Astros/Cubs, but left in the 7th during the rain delay. I took Mallory to the American Girl Store to buy "Bee Bee" her Bitty Baby an outfit while the boys went to the ESPN Zone.

Sunday we tailgated in our hotel room overlooking Soldier Field and Lake Michigan with our Cincy friends who also made the trip. The kids were real troopers sitting in two strong rains while we watched the Bengals and Bears. :sunny:

HOW 'BOUT THEM BENGALS!!!!!! We see Houston this weekend in Cincy, then Mark and I go to Jacksonville the following weekend. The kids will stay with Mom!

I really miss you guys!!!!!!!

Just returned from our trip to Oregon. We hate those stinkin USC Trojans!! We had them for the first half. Unfortunately there are two to a game. The crowd was unbelievable. It was so load, our hearing and voices have not quite returned to normal. Not to sound like every fan on the losing side, but that was THE worst officiated game we have ever seen. We have probably attended 120 Duck football games over the last 14 years and it was seriously horrible. I guess those are the calls you get when you are the #1 team in the nation. With that said, Reggie Bush is the best player in college football. USC could probably beat our wonderful Arizona Cardinals.

Our trip home had us stop in Las Vegas last night. The girls wanted to stay up for the lights of the Strip. Now they are so amped about them, they want to see them up close. Who are we to deny our children a trip to Vegas!!

Go Ducks!

Whoa, Jenny what a weekend!! Boy you guys really get out!! Sorry about Mallory, my DD18 had a similar incident many years ago and it was the crying that tipped me off too. She had broke her wrist.........never a dull moment raising kids!! :guilty:

How's your 4th grade year going?? I'm adjusting, I have a few attention/behavior issues to work out. I was alittle tired today due to the gloomy weather....... ...

So, I wonder what happened to Lynn, Lucy and Debi??? Do you guys remember back when they used to write on this thread?? Hmmmmmmmm.....

LYNN IS PROBABLY ALREADY PLANNING HER NEXT CRUISE! pirate: At least she can wear that cute pirate costume again!!

You are so right!!
Reservations made this week got everything we wanted :Pinkbounc
Plus booked an Illuminations cruise while we are at WDW
I do still read but at the moment I have no idea what anyone is talking about i'm assuming it's football US style and these are the teams you support.
I obviously need some coaching, like do they sing the national anthmn? LOL :rotfl2:
Come on Jenni I need explanations!

Hey did you all know that England won the ASHes (that's cricket we beat the Aussies first time in 18 years)

Ok,...Lynn...........we're officially jealous...........HOW CAN YOU BE CRUISING AGAIN SO EASILY!!! We're still reminiscing about our cruise together!!! I hope your school year is going well!!!

Let us know how YOUR :rotfl2: trip goes (but PLEASE tell us that it wasn't as good as OUR trip!!!)

Well, it's I have to admit it's not as exciting as your style of football!!
Football ~ several men beat heads together so another guy can run like *&^* and score a touchdown.

Hey, you did a great job on the national anthem. Remember, it was you who schooled us in the fact that there is more than one verse!!!!! :rotfl2:

Cricket.......I like that sport too. We don't see much here, but I do catch it on TV occasionally!!!

Glad to hear from you........ So JEALOUS of your upcoming trip, but hope it's AWESOME! Love to you and Keith!!
:lovestruc

:bitelip: Yes, there seems to be a shortage of "talkers" on the thread.... :sunny:

Jenny.... that was my Mother-in-law's name.. :teeth: anyhow, sorry to hear about the little one,I hate seeing little people get hurt :guilty: one thing ,they heal guickly :sunny: I'm holding you on the Vodka, maybe not a truck load........ :Pinkbounc And the baseball grinds on....Phillies are a contender everyother day...frankly ,it's a pain in the ***.. :rolleyes1 Baseball never was my sport... About those Bengals .... :cool1: Wow ,I hope they're not on the Eagles scedule..

Hello Lynn and Keith... You folks certainly get around, all these trips must leave you exhusted, sorry 'bout all the sports talk (football,Baseball) I just saw it as a opportunity for some "funnin" as Jenny says...Most of the time I don't know what people are talking about either :Pinkbounc Have you ever considered a trip to Australia ,or have you been there..?? I think that would be quite an experience,It would be fun to see it before they convert the whole country into Condo's and townhouses :rolleyes1

Well, be well everyone else, looks like a long season for the Jet's :rotfl:
and hopefully for the Patriots...

Boy, Dad really likes the smilies, huh?
Hey Dad, tell Mom the check is in the mail.......it's been a hectic week!! Are you guys coming down to MD to watch Jess play some soccer or what???? :cool1:

Rodger that concerning the check...what ever that means.... :confused3

I'll pass on the Va trip for Soccer... I had a dose of soccer last weekend... :Pinkbounc
Good luck,be a winner

I can't believe you never heard the "Blue Angles" story... When we visited Pensacola Naval Musium a couple years ago, I believe there were referances to "The Commander" being part of the Angles group....Remember we're talkin' BiPlanes
in those days, and there was no noteriaty like now... :teeth:

Safe trip, love to all...Albil

OK, so I haven't been on in awhile, I have been in mourning this week, for my J-E-T-S which at this point means Just End The Season. The best thing that can happen now is that they lose the rest of their games and get a first round draft pick.

Jenny - Sorry to hear about Mallory, ouch! Hope she is feeling better. Oh, and how bout those Bengals, guess we might have to root for them this year. Got killed in FF last week, the guy I played had Ladamian Tomilinson and he killed me.

Vegas, now that sounds like a plan. Micco and I have never been, so it would be an experience. We would love to plan a trip with all of you. I am supposed to be going in Feb for a convention. Now if we could go when Elton John is playing, that would be an added bonus!

Kathy - Glad to hear that Owen is a big spender. LOL! :rotfl2:

Well anyway, GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!

sorry for not writing to my dear friends sooner, but in our house, lately, the saying is: "It's all about Beauty and the Beast" - day and night....i've got props all over my house, teacups, dinnerplates, wigs, tankards, etc. etc. Bob is feeling great and is so excited about this show...seems so far away...anyone want to come see it? I know the person who can get you GREAT tickets (me!-that's my job for the show). :cheer2:
We've already sold more tickets than we have ever sold and the show isn't until Nov. 18,19,20.

Neither Bob nor I are sports fans, sorry people, but we love 'ya anyway :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We do LOVE to go to baseball games but not for the games, just for the great entertainment. And, believe it or not, for the first time in our marriage, 20 years this year, we watched the Eagles playoffs last year. Can you picture Bob and myself watching this entire game that we know nothing about....we did!

Our attention goes to Disney, always and forever. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Speaking of Disney - we will also be there for Christmas (oh how I wish we
could run into Lynn and Keith :genie: - the man with the greatest frog shirt I have ever seen) but I believe they will be on the cruise when we are in Disney, right Lynn? We will arrive Dec. 24 and leave Dec. 30.
I believe Kathy will also be there but before Christmas, right Kathy?

Since CERTAIN people (Jenny, Debs, JoAnn) talked us into joining the DVC, we'll be taking even more trips to Disney. We are booked at the Beach Club Villas for Christmas.

I'm hoping our NY trip comes thru, I don't care if it is just for dinner....we'll be there. Well, guys, tomorrow is October, let's hope it is this month that they make the big announcement! :cheer2:

Miss each and every one of you...oh, California girls, everything ok with you and the fires? I hope so

If you don't remember who I am....Lucy :rolleyes1

oh Lucy can't you get there one day sooner!!! We leave at lunchtime on the 24th for our cruise, we are also staying at BCV for the first 3 nights and then WLV for the next 4 nights BOO HOO we would love to see you.
Good luck with B and B We just saw a touring production of this show at our local theatre it was wonderful.

Hi Lynn,

We'll be at SSR 16-21 December. Will you be there during the same time period? Ted won't be with us. It is me and 4 other moms and our respective 9 children. Sound like fun? We've got a "Mom's Night Out" scheduled for Monday 19 December. We're going to dinner at LeCellier and then the Candlelight Processional. Of course we're taking the kids to MVMCP on Sunday 16 December. We have a reservation for 16 at CRT for Saturday 17 December so if you'd like to join us we have 2 open spots.

We're going to be at BCV in a 2BDR villa 15-21 October. Ted will be with us this time. It's just the 4 of us so we have room for guests if anyone wants to take an impulse trip down. We're going to the Party for the Senses on Saturday 15 October and MNSSHP on Sunday 16 October. We're all dressing up as "the Incredibles". We have CRT booked for Monday 18 October and a Family Magic Tour of the Magic Kingdom later that day. The kids are going on the Albatross Cruise out of the Yacht Club Marina on Wednesday 19 October. While they're cruising Ted and I are going on a Segway tour of Epcot. We're also going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ and we've booked a Fantastmic dinner package at Mama Melrose's.

Lucy, We've got tickets to the Hurrah Players "Beauty and the Beast" in Norfolk on Sunday 9 October.

Let's consider a Vegas meet! I'll check EJ's schedule Debi.

Gotta run...I'll write more later.

Kathy

Kathy
Thanks for the offer of CRT but we don't arrive until the evening of the 17th, we are planning MGM on the Monday and then are going to the party Tuesday
Sunday is an Epcot day, I'm sure we must be able to catch up with you and Owen and Amy at some point. I'll PM you my cell no. nearer the time and we'll try and sort something out if you'd like to.
11 weeks today not that I'm counting you understand!

You guys really make me look boring!!! Debs!!!!, I am so SERIOUS about the Vegas idea, Ken and I had a blast a few weekends ago!! Definitely look into and let me know...........IT IS SO MUCH FUN THERE!! We could really have fun..........however, I'm still in for the NYC deal...........let me know!!

Ok, what's with the WDW Christmas deal,..........EVERYONE IS GOING!!

Actually we will be in Fort Lauderdale from the 26th - 30th for a soccer tournament................so maybe we should meet halfway????

You guys are so much fun...........I was going to send out a search party for Lynn, Lucy and Deb so I'm glad you guys checked in!!!!

Lynn - I ran into Bob tonight :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (believe me,
it doesn't happen very often lately!) and we are trying to figure out
how to take Tyler out of school on the 23rd (yes, his school runs up to
the last day) and Bob getting off a day earlier, just to see you guys
before you get on the cruise (you must know, though, you will NOT be
my best friend that day! - I want you to be sailing with us--you are
going to meet all kinds of new friends and forget about all of us....
ok, i'm feeling sorry for myself, sorry). Let's just say, we will definitely
work on it...what an opportunity to see a DISer during the holiday,
especially my favorite Brit! :goodvibes
JoAnn - so close, but so far away.
Kathy - we will be missing you by a few days.
Bob is working at the high school football game tonight, the food stand.
I was supposed to join him, but kindof fell asleep in my peaceful house
tonight. Getting up at 5AM every morning finally got to the old lady (me!).
I'm looking forward to having a weekend, but, in our case, we have something planned each day.
Miss you guys :grouphug:
Forgot: Kathy, we are doing LeCellier also for the Candlelight Processional - one of our favorite restaurants.

You are all killing me with this holiday trip to Fla. I am jealous. I wish we could go, but I don't think it is in the cards, of course Micco says lets go, but $$, I don't know right now. Remember we have Briana's Sweet 16 party coming up in May.

Anyway, the scrapbook of our trip is done. You are all immortalized forever on my pages, the "boys" actually got their own page, "Boys Gone Wild" with great pics of Bill, David and Micco in all their glory! Even Keith in his Sr. Frog shirt! LOL. I am going to spend some time this week taking pictures of the book and figuring out how to put it into a slide show online so you can all see. It really came out awesome, over 40 pages, I can't believe I actually finished it! Funny how things happen when you set your mind to it.

Last night we went to Six Flags Great Adventure (where Alex is working as a ghoul during Fright Fest - she was sooooo good). For those of you who don't know, they put on Fright Fest every year where they have "actors" dressed as ghouls who do shows and walk around the park scaring people. They start at 6:00 pm where the ghouls come out. This year they start with a funeral procession of all the ghouls, and actually take a coffin into a "funreal parlor". It was awesome, the make-up is incredible and the way they all stay in character was amazing. It was very impressive! Alex is actually in a "show" called Nikki's Nightmare, it was quite disturbing, several girls in this "house" and they all kind of looked alike. So she is now her mother's worst nightmare! LOL. Also, I finally got to ride King Da Ka, the world's tallest roller coaster. I figured I would give it a try at least once. I was scared s**less, but what a sick ride! I would definitely do it again. Micco went on 3 times.

Lucy - I am going to look into those dates for Beauty, I would love to come see the show!!! I believe that is the weekend Micco goes hunting, but maybe I will come alone or with the girls. I will let you know.

Lisa and Liz Hope all is well with you guys in Cali.

I miss you all so much. :grouphug:

Debi

It's hard to believe it's October already..............you know what THAT means!!! This is the month we're supposed to find out about 2007!!!! Hopefully we will here something soon! Maybe Kathy will know when the CMs come to dinner??? :teeth:
