First, let me say, that I decided today to dare to be different, so I had my hair highlighted blonde AND STRAWBERRY blonde! :rotfl2:

Felt like I was in a "funk" so went daring.......... :lmao:

Marshall just got home from a ten mile hike in the snow for Boy Scouts. 30 miles down and 40 to go for his hiking merit badge. So proud of him! :lovestruc

Now, the sad news. Mark's grandfather passed away at 1:30 this morning. He was 88 years old; what a life! He fought for our country in WWII in Germany and was such a great guy. I am so glad my children and I had the privledge of knowing him. We are leaving right after Marshall's piano recital tomorrow for Ohio. The viewing is Monday and funeral on Tuesday.

We will drive back to Indiana on Wed. just in time to take Mark to the Indianapolis airport to go to Atlanta for work. I will pick him back up on Friday to head to Cincy to go to Redsfest. This is such a cool thing the Reds do. It's just like it says. Players, coaches, media, etc. "mingle" with fans and do autograph sessions, Q & A, etc. My favorite player, Bronson Arroyo does a concert on Friday night. He's a great acoustic player/singer.

So, shopping............it's called DCL!!!!! :cool1:

Well, let's be serious for a moment........I can't believe you had dangerous roads, Lu, we just had freezing temps, it's hard to imagine the black ice.... :hug:

Careful driving in this crazy weather.......

Now, I have no real vacay plans for Christmas Week, so I planned a Spring trip for just Ken & I........I got reduced air thru AE Rewards, and a pretty good discount thru Marriott, so I'm taking the plunge and going to the islands for a fews days in April.......the girls can't come due to school and work demands, so I went for the one place that Ken & I love to go..........basically we'll be doing research for our upcoming cruise (just like Lu did when she sailed on the Magic :banana:

I am HOME today - very exciting....must make cookies today - 13 dozen of cut-out cookies, for a cookie exchange on Saturday....that's alot of cookies!
Haven't even had time to make cookies for my family.

OH, the boys have finally given us their lists....the woman on this thread that speaks about all her shopping and gift wrapping is driving me NUTS!

Tomorrow I have a guy installing two new windows and I am installing blinds. I will go back to work Friday. We leave for Cincinnati after school for REDSFEST. That is always fun. One more week of school until Winter Break and the school year is 1/2 over! :cool1:

The mess continues....carpet yesterday. No blinds yet, but I'll get on that today. There are two rooms worth of junk in a third room. It looks like a bomb went off in this house :eek:

....took Mark 30 minutes to get out, but not before I fell and slid all the way down the hill! :scared1:
