Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

Never, never have i been this tired - oh, yea, last month.....

tonight we are having open house.....about 12 adults, AND 12 kids sleeping over......it is only 5:53 and i'm ready to pass out.

We cleaned and cooked ALL day (i did some of that yesterday too)...starting at 8:00, guest arrive at 6:00.
just let me give you an example of what we made:
bob made: sweet and sour wings, stuffed mushrooms and crescent miniature hot dogs.
i made: 4 kinds of dip, a cheese ring, meatballs (oh, yea, can't count that--they are the Sam's variety), cream cheese brownies, pecan pie, bought all the food and drink for the kids, put together a HUGE meat platter and cheese platter, a mexican dip that is outstanding....i can't even remember the rest, i'm too tired.

Bob asked if we were going to take turns staying up tonight (since there are boys and girls) - I said NO!

plenty of alcohol too (which MUST be hidden after we go to bed).

tonight Bob said, BOY, this house is ready to be put on the market and ready for show...yea, the downstairs and rec room....the upstairs is disgusting. You know how you quickly move everything from one floor to the next when you are having company.....believe, we did that today.

Go ahead Bill, I'm ready for 'ya....I know, blah, blah, blah

Gee and we didn't get invited, but we sure got all the details! ooooooo, top that one Bill!!!

Bill broke into my house today, so he's not available..........they came back up to visit the bros and since they left about 10 items at my home from Xmas, they decided to just walk right in and make themselves comfy. We, fortunately, walked in on the heist and kept them from taking the china. So we ate more leftovers and then they were on their way. Instead of cleaning and cooking like Lucy, I went to gym and maybe did one load of wash. Altogether, a perfect day!!

Lucy went to bed at 2:30 AM!

And then stayed awake till 5:00, listening to the kids, hearing the TV, head spinning from too many glasses of wine! etc.
had to get up at 9:00 to chase 3 kids out of the house for church/jobs.

now it is 10:30 and all bob and i want to do is relax and chill....but there are 6kids still sleeping in the family room!

And then stayed awake till 5:00, listening to the kids, hearing the TV, head spinning from too many glasses of wine! etc.

You ain't never ready for me... But I will say I'm pissed,noone invited me...the menu looks terrific.....

AND my house is STILL clean!

TODAY,,,,,,Bob is back at work, I just picked up tyler from ANOTHER sleepover, I asked him, while we were driving home, can we PLEASE have a normal vacation from here on in...sleeping in, getting up and just doing nothing.....he said YES! Bob is off the next three days
My guest room still has the entire contents of our 1st floor - it is a mess...I'll get to it, sometime!

Tonight we are going out to dinner with the Becks...we have a gift certificate for a local ski lodge for dinner....place sounds really, really nice...uh-oh, makeup night!

Tomorrow IKEA! yea!

Wednesday....maybe movies at night.

Thursday - absolutely NOTHING! I will be watching the Penn State game, wearing my new Penn State sweatshirt (not knowing a thing that is going on! ). We will probably be eating hot dogs and sauerkraut - our typical New Year's Day meal....this is NOT a hard job!
Bob works the weekend.

I went to the doctor's today for a checkup. I am now old. I have to go annually from now on (due to the apparent weight gain.) I have a few other doctor/dentist visits tomorrow.

We are celebrating New Years in the Bronx this year with Ken's family and Tara & Jer.

Lucky you, Jenny, we've just been off since Wednesday and I feel like I died and went to heaven! One week from today, it's back to work. Since we usually travel at the holidays, it's weird to be home this long.

I'm still fighting off this stupid cough, I hope it's gone soon!
