Hey everyone I am going to do Discovery cove as part of my BIG BIRTHDAY gift and, I was wanting some really good info on what i should do when i go to discovery cove. It would be a big help if you tell me everything you enjoyed about discovery cove and show me some pictures of how fun discovery cove is going to be. Any help you people can give me on what I should expact to walk away with as far as happy memories will be a big help.

When is your dolphin swim?

Get some rubber shoes from Target/Walmart, the kind with the mesh tops. You can wear them in the coral reef.
The biggest advice I have is to arrive early. Yes, they only allow 1000 people in, but those 1000 people are all getting their snorkle gear at the same time. I say to be there around 08:00am. By 08:30am, a line will form at the doors. Going in first allows you to get your snorkle gear, and a wet suit with no wait. And you get to pick your spot on the beach. Here's my TR from 2001, a little bit old, but you'll get an idea of what to expect.

Get some disposable underwater cameras to use while you snorkle in the reef. I got some incredible photos there. Be sure they know it's your birthday; my girlfriend got extra dolphin time and CJ "sang" Happy Birthday to her.

Discovery Cove is So COOL. A few tips I have are:
A) Bring $$$
B)Learn how to use a snorkle
C)Be Perpared to have fun

feel free to pm me

Def bring the underw water cameras as they are about $18 each in park u will have a great time just relax and enjoy

We loved our day at Discovery Cove.
MY tips to add to some already stated:

Arrive early, bring underwater camera, set up camp.

If you have never snorkled before, try the lazy river across from the tropical lagoon first to get the hang of it. It took me quite some time to get used to snorkeling, and there are some VERY deep areas in the tropical reef.

Swim with the stingrays in the morning--by the afternoon, they seemed a little unwilling to be touched, unlike the morning when they were very willing.

Relax and don't leave early--you paid enough, you should spend the whole day there.

Eat a later lunch--fewer crowds.

I forgot about the stingrays they are really cool well worth a visit and def stay till end its a nice relaxing day if u let it be

I got the deluxe dirthday package for my DH back in Sept - this included the dolphin bringing him a buoy with Happy Birthday on it, a huge cake, a tshirt, underwater camera, video and a pic all for approx $200!
