Me and my 9 yr old daughter will be at Disney World in April, (34 days to be exact) Can someone tell me about a area close to Epcot that has shopping and bike riding?

I'm not sure what you mean. Onsite or off?

I'm not really sure, I think its off site. A friend was telling me but they couldn't remember for sure.

They have surrey bikes in the Boardwalk area that you can rent and drive around Crescent Lake. There are also numerous stores and restaurants in this area (officially called the Epcot resort area).
I don't know if this is what you are referring to. This area is a short walk from the International Gateway of Epcot (near United Kingdom). You can also get there from the Disney Studios either by walking or taking the Friendship boat. The boats run continuous service between the two parks stopping along the route at the Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht clubs, and Swan/Dolphin.
