Hello! Just back from Disney and have never posted photos yet. With over 800 photos taken....I'm ready to go. I have 3 photo programs I bounce between and would like to go to 1 that "does it all".
I edit, crop add effects, frame, make photoshows etc. I mainly use Photoexplosion. It offers a program I use alot where I put photos to music and play on DVD's. It also allows me to edit, etc.
The one thing I can't figure out how to do is make photo black and white and then add color to one thing or image. I can do it on pacasa but nit in enough detail.
Is there a better program out there I should move to or can someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks!!

I have done this once or twice, and I used microsoft digital image pro. you can also do it with adobe photoshop.......
someone else i am sure will come along with better instructions on what to do.

I use PAint SHop Pro Photo X2 for all my editing, including selective coloring

I have Windows Movie Maker and have copied my video onto both a DVD+R disk and a CD-R disk and can't get them to play on a DVD player. It will play on the computer. Does anyone know what I need to do to make it play on a DVD player?

I was checking what other programs I have on the computer and found PhotoImpact XL will this help me in any way? I also have Nero.

I am fairly new to the IBM compatible, I have been using Mac.

Squirrel,

You should be able to make the photo slide shows with nero as well. As for photoimpact, I have never used so Im not sure. IRT the windows movie maker, Under Options, Advanced tab, make sure NTSC is selected. This is the one for most of North America DVD players if I remember correctly. I know this isnt much help, but...

The Easiest way to do this, is to copy the background to a second layer. Move this layer on top of the background. Now make that layer black and white, or sepia, or whatever you want. Now use an eraser tool and just remove the area you want color to show through. It will delete the top layer and show the original layers colors.

please can I jump on here too....

I loved my trial for 60 days of Corel Paintshop Pro X...well it was the last day yesterday..its going to cost £60 to renew..which I'm scared of doing at the moment with so many programs around...

I'm looking for a program that has everything on it...cropping, black n white, sepia..colour selection...you get what I mean?;) Is there a good one out there that is cheaper, Saw the corel one on ebay but it seemed quite cheap so that scared me too!! It said it was legal with no box..has anyone bought a program from ebay?

anyway thanks in advance for any help!:thumbsup2

Ps. I've downloaded picasa, photoplus 6.0 and photoscape but I don't like them...I would love an all in one program type thing!

Poppyolivia,
Have you tried Gimp? its a free download under the gpl and is pretty powerful considering its free. You can download it here.
