Help with my upcoming trip

Hi I just booked a trip today for March 28-April 4 and I had a few questions. I was looking at the rehabs and they said that Tom Sawyer Island, Fantasmic, and Splash Mountain were going to be closed. Is there any chance that could be open (specifically splash) seeing as it is spring break time and they might need another big ride open. Also I heard that nemo's undersea adventure open on June 11th, any chance that might have a preview for spring breakers? What are some good restaurants, the one I really want to eat at is the blue bayou, what would be some others. In downtown disney, do they have that build a lightsaber like at WDW because I had wanted to check that out. Finally, I love tomorrowland at MK, it is my favorite land, and how does the Disneyland counterpart compare with it, does it have that neon blue theme? Thanks for your help, and wish me a good time.

Huntzilla~ I don't think there is a chance Fantasmic or Tom SAwyer will be open. Previews for Nemo probably won't be that early. But hey you can always hope!!!

Doubtful that any of the attractions you mention will be open. TSI is undergoing the first phase of a major modification to become "Pirate's Lair", and this affects Fantasmic because that is where Fantasmic is performed.

In addition, Splash is undergoing a major refurb with its lift mechanism being replaced, and it is not scheduled to re-open until May.

Finally, getting Nemo open by June already seems like it will be tight. Soft openings will have to occur at some point, but not as soon as April. Possibly late May, early June.

Blue Bayou is a good choice. You might consider Cafe Orleans at DL.

TL at DL is different in many ways from MK, and the theming and colors are different. It is smaller - as most things at DL - and has been in recovery mode over the last 10 years after some poor decisions by DL management in the 90's. With Nemo re-opening it will be mostly recovered. But most will not be happy with the recovery until they get something going on the PeopleMover tracks again.

Space Mtn at DL was refurbed a couple years ago and is much better than the one at MK. Most like the Buzz LY at DL better too.

My guess is that if MK's TL is your favorite area, you will be a little disappointed with DL's. It has a different feel and I like the feel at MK better.
