Help with MK Sat Night Strategy

I see that Saturday May 22, the MK is now open until 11pm with a 9pm and 11pm parade. This trip its just my DH and I so staying for the 11pm parade will not be an issue. Just wondering if the park will be shoulder to shoulder crowded that night and what would be our best strategy to avoid the worst of the crowds. We have an AP, so we can hop around the parks....should we go to another park that day and just drop into MK around 8pm and ride some of the rides while the first parade is on and then watch fireworks and wait for second parade? What do others do for late Sat nights at MK? Thanks, Jo

You didn't mention where you are staying, or if you're planning to be at MK all day. I think a late dinner at one of the monorail resorts is in order(i.e. 8pm?) then ride over to MK in time for the 11pm event. Staying at MK all day till 11pm is a loooonnnggg day.

we're staying at PORiverside and we'll probably start off in another park in the morning and then take an afternoon break so we have a lot of flexibility. I like the idea of just sliding into MK as hopefully the first crowd of parade goers are leaving! I've never seen a night parade at MK - do a lot of people leave after first parade if there are two that night? Thx
