Thanks! Well, it's just about a done deal here too! Aiden is his least favorite...claims it sounds like a girls name. Anyway, consider the source

Thanks. I don't know of, hear alot, or see Aiden too much around here. But whenever we are out (esp. last year at Disney), Conner or Connor was heard everywhere!
Congratulations on your expected addition!!![]()
My vote is for Carter, I don't hear much of that around in the South Jersey area. Great name! I also like Brandon (my son's name) and Evan.
Good Luck choosing a name!!
Forgot to add that I also like the names Nathan and Ryan!
Congratulations on your upcoming baby boy!!
Now for the names....I love the name Parker, that's my daughter's name but I love it for a boy too! As some other people have said Aiden is very popular, we are from the south and the town where I used to live I know from seeing it in the paper that like 15 boys in the past year have been named that!! I like the name Carter but when I say Conner and Carter together it sound like a mouthful.
When I was pregnant with my 2nd baby, before we found out she was a girl, the names that I liked were Hayden, Brady and Parker. Another name to throw into the mix is Alexander and if you wanted to shorten it: Alex or Lex
Good luck finding a name!!
I remember struggling when I was pregnant with my son. We ended up naming him Evan Nicholas which were both family names.
How about Christian, Chase, Donovan, Andrew (Drew), Jared, Matthew. Colin?
Good luck with finding the perfect name!!![]()
I agree with some other posters, I like Andrew (Drew) and Caleb ( that would have been DD's name if she had come out a boy) and Jacob
I also like,
Gabriel
Joshua
Just FYI, the correct spelling is Aidan, not Aiden. [from St. Aidan of Lindisfarne, first Bishop of Lindisfarne. He lived in the 5th century.]
A masculine Irish name ending in "en" would be a very odd thing, because the suffix "een" in Irish means "little" -- not an implication you want in a boy's name. The ending is always going be spelled "an" in a masculine name. Brendan, Aidan, Ciaran, Brian, Ian, etc., the pattern is clear.
Since about the 1920's, Americans have feminized any name with "lyn" anywhere in it, even though most of the traditional names like this, such as Evelyn, (and Lynn itself), were originally masculine. Any name with "lyn" in it is going to be perceived as a woman's name in the U.S.
So, Your DH has shot down everything but Carter. I like Carter, but as one of the other posters said, Conner and Carter said together is a mouthfull.
We have twins at our school named Conner and Ian. Here are some names I considered when naming our children.
Sean, Coleman (Cole), Carson, Wyatt, Ethan, Nathan, Seth, Greyson, Garrett, Aaron, Andrew, Benjamin, Will, Austin, and Elijah (Eli)
