I'm on a tight budget and I really don't want to pay $50 for a flower girl basket with rose petals..

Can I have my flower girl use artifical or silk petals?
Does anyone know if Disney has any restrictions on this or if we have to clean/pick them up after ?

Hi!

I'm in Dallas too, how fun!

In the back of Martha Stewart Weddings, I saw an ad for Rose Petals Everywhere. They have "real dry rose petals that look like fresh." Check them out. Their site says you need half a box for a flower girl. You could use the other half to decorate around your cake, at your head table, etc, thereby getting more for your dollar than just the flower girl basket.

If you are looking for someone to do your invitations who is here in Dallas check out imajdesign.net and send an email to Jami who owns it and designs all the invitations. She does great work. She just did a beautiful invitation for a Junior League event, but her real love is weddings.

We brought our own flower girl basket that we made for about $5 from a craft store. Disney charged me $10 for petals to fill it.

only $10 wow thats a big price difference from what the planning packet said it was about $50 for the basket with petals... ($40 for a basket - thats crazy). Thanks for the info I will have to give disney floral a call....

Looks like there are several dallas area disney brides we should get together sometime. :)
