I have been trying to plan our trip to DL and stuff keeps coming up and we have to change dates...first the end of Oct., then the first of Oct. and now I think we are going to try and go mid-late Sept. (at least it keeps getting moved up sooner!!) But I need help, which week would be better Sept. 16-19 or 23-26? We will be in the park Sun-Wed. I just want to advoid the crowds? Also, how warm will it be? Thanks.

Those should both be nice weeks to go, since school will be back in session. You might want to look at the Anaheim Convention Center's website to see if there is any big convention going on at either time, (it looks like both dates are fairly clear of big conventions) and also check out the ride rehabs/closures on the DIS to see what's closed during those times.

The weather should be perfect--warm during the day (80s/maybe low 90s at the worst) and cool in the mornings and evenings.

The 16th-19th (or 9th - 12th) would be my recommendation for lower crowds .... mainly because it will be crowded 9/21 and after. "The Haunted Mansion re-opens on September 21th followed by ‘Disney’s Halloween Treat’, which begins on October 4 at the California Adventure theme park." http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/Events/Halloween.htm

I would base my decision on whether or not you want to see the Halloween overlay. If you go the 16th-19th you will not see it and Haunted Mansion will be closed for refurb for the overlay. However if you wait it may be a little more crowded but still nothing like summer.
