My DH is flying Moncton to Vancouver today then crossing into the USA via Land Border tomorrow for work. He took a PCR test Friday at the Moncton Airport and it just came back this morning as a “redraw request” with not enough specimen collected - basically they didn’t do the test right and he needs to do it again. Of course the clinic at the Moncton airport is closed now Sunday and he can’t get ahold of anyone.

Does he NEED a PCR test to cross at a land border ? Would a rapid test do?

Answered my own question for anyone wondering for future - was able to get ahold of US Border Protection. They told me land crossings do NOT require a negative test at all. Phew !! Hopefully his PCR test for re entry into Canada goes more smoothly.

Glad you got an answer. Unfortunately most of us on here wouldn't have known what the answer is since most of us can't cross into the US at the land border sinve it's closed for non essential travel. Now we all know if we need to though :):)
