Help me plan an Easter Party

Our town no longer hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt, so I decided to take matters into my own hand I have about 25 kids coming ranging in ages 2 to 7. It will be saturday morning, and we will hide 150 eggs in the yard. Then I will serve bagels and juice. Any other ideas. I was thinking of 2 or 3 "large" prizes ( stuffed bunny etc.) the kid who finds the egg with the winning ticket will get a prize? ( or is this tacky and not fair)

I'm thinking of filling the eggs with candy and little prizes, tatooes, rings, bracelets etc.

So help if you have any ideas.

I don't want it to last for more than about 90 minutes.

Sounds soo fun!!!

Snacks would be cool, try to keep it simple. Donut holes, cookies, fruit snacks and juice boxes.

You could hide 10 (golden)of the 150 eggs and they would receive a special gift. (1 per customer).

I think if all the eggs had a special treat, the kids would not be upset about the "golden" prizes.

Another inexpensive item I put in the eggs is stickers.

I'm having a party on Friday for about 10 kids ranging from 1-5. I'm filling the eggs with candy this year and every child will get a little puzzle at the end as well. In past years I've done stickers and party sized playdough along with the candy but the candy is always the biggest hit.

You might want to break the kids up since their hunting abilities will vary greatly. Maybe have the 2-4 year olds and 5-7 year olds hunt in seperate areas. I don't do any big prizes since that would be hard with my age group. Maybe you could just have a grab bag of small prizes at the end and let each child pick something. Stuff like sidewalk chalk, pail/shovel, playdough are pretty cheap.

I'm also cutting out paper eggs for the kids to decorate and take home. It's a easy craft and something they can do while eating.

I would divide the kids into 2 groups: ages 2-4 and 5-7. I would put stickers on the eggs for the younger age group and tell each group to only gather the eggs for their age group...ie: stickered eggs for the younger kids only.

I would also consider having more eggs than that so everyone is sure to get a fair amount.

I would also toss around those foil-covered eggs so that they are easy to spot for everyone!

I think that you're looking at closer to 40-45 minutes tops.
