DH and I are going down for a quick trip this May. We'll be going back in August for our 10th anniversary for a longer trip but we have some APs left over from Christmas and want to take advantage.

We'll only be there 4 days.

Arriving 5/12 afternoon and leaving 5/16.

We're trying to have only one sit down meal a day for this trip.

LeCellier, Alfredo's and Boma are our Must DOs each trip, so they are not negotiable. Where would you suggest we eat on 5/14? We will probably be in Animal Kingdom but I'm not terribly excited about Rain Forest (haven't eaten at this Rain Forest, but have eaten at another one), heard good things about Flame Tree, but if this is our only nice meal would kind of like something a little nicer. We don't like extremely expensive though and do like good food for the money. We will have our car and don't mind driving to another park or resort to eat.

I'm toying with the idea of just having Boma twice because we both really love it. But wouldn't mind trying something new.

Here's what I have so far:

5/12 - arriving late lunch Beaches and Cream
5/13 - late lunch at LeCellier
5/14 - ????
5/15 - late lunch at Alfredo's
5/16 - late breakfast at Boma

Please help!

Rachael

Well.... I see you're having breakfast at Boma... dinner is a whole different animal! Go for it! I say Boma twice!

Not much good at AK except for Flame Tree BBQ and that is counter-service but definitely filling! We loved it so much last time made a special trip back to AK to do it again. I agree with the last poster if you are not doing Flame Tree, do Boma again. Dinner is definitely different!

How about dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona? Both have good food at lower prices than some of the other resort restaurants.

Kona actually has great food. GFC is a very pretty restaurant and is more quiet.

Thanks, keep the suggestions coming! :Pinkbounc

I hadn't even thought of Boma for non-breakfast. That's a good idea. Plus, close to where we'll be. Oooh ooh, do they have the Zebra Domes I've heard so much about for lunch?

Boma isn't open for lunch.

Thanks, didn't think about them not being open for lunch. Grand Floridian Cafe sounds interesting. I'd like to see GF. That is one regret I have that we didn't get to see it at Christmas time this past year all decorated.

Have you ever eaten at O'hana? I have heard great things about it and plan on eating there next trip :flower:

Good luck!!

O'hana is good, all you can eat fixed menu brought to you table. Dessert is a whole pineapple, cubed with skewers that you dip in caramel. WOW

At the AKL we love Jiko, but it is a little pricey.
