Help me pick 4 of these character meals please!

We did FD for the first time last year and did a character meal each day too. I gotta be honest for my 2 boys (5 and 4 at the time) it was total overkill. They actually got tired of them and just wanted to sit and eat. I was TOTALLY shocked by that! So this year we are doing one everyother day instead:
MK day - CM dinner
HS day - Mama Melrosa Fantasmic package
AK day - Tusker House breakfast
EC day - Le Cellier dinner
Off Day - 1900 Park Fare breakfast (this one is more for mommy of course ;))

I'm not trying make you totally rethink your plans or anything. I mean you know your kids best. Just wanted to share my experiance. Hope you guys have a BLAST on your trip!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the opinion-we will actually have 8 sit-down meals over 7 nights (we're doing T-Rex OOP), so we are also going to hopefully have 'Ohanas, Le Cellier or Tutto Italia, and Sci Fi or Mama Melrose. I thought one every day would be overkill as well, so I am hoping to space them out as best I can over the course of the trip!

CP- This is a must do. We ate there for breakfast and dinner last trip and the food was great both times!
CM- It is loud. It is crazy. It is great!!!! The best part are the desserts. There are so many choices, plus you get to see the mouse himself!
1900 PF- We had breakfast and dinner here last time as well. The stepsisters were a riot! They were fighting over a boy (must of been 10yrs old). It was so funny. The Mad Hatter is great and crazy!!!! It is worth going just to see him.
GG- never done it.
Tusker House- We will be doing this next trip.
H&V- I would suggest doing it now while your kids are still young. The food was good. They play all the songs from Playhouse Disney have dancing with the kids too.

Check out my TR..... We did so many character meals on our last trip.:goodvibes:goodvibes

I actually did read your TR already-your daughter is beautiful! Thanks for the opinions!

OH! Ok then I must've misread your original post and thought you were ONLY doing character meals. Opps.

I really appreciated your opinion! A part of me did want to book all character meals (because they sound like fun!), but I know that we will appreciate a few quieter, calmer meals. And the grandmas will probably enjoy some sit-down meals as well. I did try to pick 'Ohanas and Sci-Fi so that even our non-character meals would be fun, but it certainly won't kill my kids to have a more sedate meal while we are there :rotfl:

Now to see what ADRs I can actually get during FD!

I totally agree with this! It is nice to get a quieter meal! I think over 7 nights the 4-5 character meals is perfect. We did 7 over 7 nights (2 on Wednesday, none on Saturday) but it worked for us. On our next trip we will be doing less character meals than days... but we may do Hoop-Dee-Doo on one day.

These would be my choices in order:
Chef Mickey-dinner mickey et all
Crystal Palace-lunch pooh et all
O'hana-breakfast Lilo/Stitch
1900 Park Fare-dinner face characters

all different characters.

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is another to consider. It is less crowded there and the prices are good. Our kids always enjoyed the food there and there are quite a few characters constantly around.

My choices would be:
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's
Tusker House
Ohana's for breakfast. Your children would like the Lilo and Stitch.

I agree. These are wonderful choices, ecspecially considering the ages of your boys. They will love these four choices!:thumbsup2

My grandson loved 1900 Park Fare. Cinderella kissed him and he still remember that from last year and he was only 2. We love Chef Mickey, 1900 Park Fare, and Garden Grill. You get all the characters at Chef Mickey, Cinderella and family at 1900 Park Fare dinner, and at Garden Grill you have Mickey and Chip and Dale. At least it was that way last year. The food is also good at these places. Crystal Palace may be good at dinner but we didn't much like the lunch menu. We have never eaten breakfast there. Hollywood and Vine is great for the kids but the food wasn't good last year. We are going in May and have reservations for CM and 1900. Can't miss CM with all the characters.

What about Ohana for Breakfast and Cape May Cafe for breakfast???

Wow, all of these 'Ohanas suggestions are really making me think I need to do that one. Just not sure how to work them all in, since I really wanted more lunches and dinners vs. breakfasts, and I know we want to do TH as well. I am definitely considering it, maybe in place of Garden Grill. We're going to get Lilo and Stitch from the library today, so if my boys seem to like it, we'll try and make that happen. Thanks again to everyone for all of your help!
