Staying for one night before a cruise. Have decided on a MK monorail resort, but can't decide which one. Probably won't ever splurge on one again, but for one night I can swing it. Me, DH, DS 10, and DD 4. Please help!

I'd have to say the Polynesian for it's excellent location, zero-entry pool, great restaurants, laid back feel and large rooms. It is a very kid-friendly resort and you can get to the MK by boat or monorail. 'Ohana is a great place for dinner with great food and games for kids! If you're going to splurge, I highly recommend a lagoon view room so you can watch the fireworks from you patio/balcony before you go to bed. What a magical way to start your vacation!

Well, I'm going out on a limb here . . .but I say POLY! But, it all depends on your tastes . . .

Grand Floridian is a beautiful resort with great views, but the Poly is very tropical and relaxing.

If I could afford it, I'd always stay at the GF!!! It's amazingly beautiful and a convenient location to boot!

All three, though, are nice in there own way...

If it were just you and DH, I'd say go for the Grand Floridian. It's very elegant and upscale. Perfect for a couple!

For the entire family, the Polynesian. It's not one of my all time favorite resorts, (I prefer the Epcot resorts) but it does have a certain charm that draws the highest return rate for Disney guests. We stayed there in January of 2000 in the Rarotonga longhouse in a garden view room. We overlooked the quiet pool and it was just a guick walk across to the Great Ceremonial House.
