HELP Just arrived and so unhappy

It was the manager of the hotel. I am a bit concerned too but let's hope it comes true. I was concerned when I heard it was Saratoga Springs Villa.

Well, they are having a car come and pick us up and bring us to the villa... I have never been there, has anyone else?

Many times... an absolutely lovely resort which will be blessedly peaceful! :cloud9:

Are you going to be in a studio? If so, just be forewarned that they all have 1 queen bed and a pullout sofa... don't know how that affects your sleeping arrangements.

I'm sure you must be so relieved! Have a wonderful trip! :goodvibes

I have been thinking about this for a bit. At first I thought okay if it bugs you move. But then my thought process changed. You are paying probably more money then they are to stay there and you deserve just as much respect as any other place. There are noise ordinances where I live and if you don’t abide them you get a ticket. I don’t mind kids having fun but if it means rudeness and a diminishment of service then it is interfering with your entitled enjoyment. Why doesn’t Disney provide a central place for practice and enforce no practicing at the resorts??? I would certainly push for the fast passes. I hope things work out for the best.

They just said they would move us to a deluxe villa at saratoga springs. I hope this really happens since I just had soda poured down on me from the big letters at the All Star where the kids were sitting.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I hope that you like the new digs and that they get you settled in soon so that you can head out to the parks. Have a great vacation from here on out.

Yikes....there all this time and no parks?!?

FYI - Coronado Springs IS run by Disney, an outside firm contracts to run the CSR Food Court.

The SSR Villa sounds lovely, hope it's better than the OP can imagine.

agnes!

SSR is a really beautiful resort. If you have kids and plan on swimming I'd request a room near one of the quiet pools. Being a first time visitor I'd request a room near the main building so that the CS and TS is more accessible. If you are going to be staying in a studio you will have a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa. If they are going to put you in a one bedroom be prepared to be completely spoiled with the extra space. Good luck! I think I'd be talking to someone about having an entire park day shot to heck because of the resort issue.

It looks positively lovely! I so hope this happens and you are able to move on from this. I would think they should be compensating you for you lack of use of the parks as well. Best of luck to you! :goodvibes

Just wondering, what does this mean? Is it still a Disney Resort, how is it not run by Disney?

Yes, what does this actually mean? I've been to CSR and didn't notice anything that would indicate it wasn't a Disney property. I don't think I understand what this means or how it affects anything.

First let me say I am sorry, I actually that the honnor of one time being one of those cheerleaders and I am so sorry. Let me say this about the groups that are out all hours of cheering. WDW holds the national cheering competition and winning brings lots of presitage and money to a cheer group. Also you get verry limited time at the facility to practice and therefore have to resort to practicing where ever possible. I am not saying this excuses your issues with the resort.

IMHO, Disney really needs to put out a disclaimer to other guests that there is a sporting event going on and that there maybe (will be) noise at all hours that way you know when planning that this will be going on, then its a kind of at your own risk. Protects the consumer and WDW at the same time, I'm sure your not the first person to be asked to be moved, or had a complaint about the issue.

That is not correct. I have a friend who works in administration at CSR and she is a Disney employee, has worked at Disney for 15 years, has been posted at the Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Boardwalk etc.

The food services at Coronado are not run by Disney. The resort
is!

Um, I beg to differ. They need to either provide a facility for these athletes to practice, or strictly enforce their noise regulations. There is no reason for teenagers to be roaming/rehearsing past 10pm.

I'm confused.
If you've got a package, your tickets should be on your room key, right? Those are given out regardless of whether or not the room is ready.

No room at all was ready? Not even the original? How were you on the internet from a laptop? There's no wireless at the All Stars right? So if you're in a room, you've got your key so the ticket should be on it.

I'm also genuinely curious what was dirty and unkept at the resort.

Pop Warner is over. Its the UCA championship! My daughter's former coed highschool team is there (shes noe a college sophomore)...Go Lacey! They wont be there long, probably going home Mon. They have to get back to school, hope your vacation is longer than that. They'll be at competition most of the time, they have very little free time.

I will take this one step further, it is not up to Disney to provide a place for the athletes to practice, it is up to the individual teams! The noise restrictions should be routinely enforced and the groups should adhere to them no matter what they are there for. If they need to practice, they need to book a practice facility and a motorcoach to take the to practice. Otherwise, keep it quiet! It is a hotel facility, NOT a cheerleading facility. :thumbsup2
