I decided that whilst I was in Disney I'd have a go at scrapbooking, I used to make cards a few years back but never really stuck to it.

We had a great trip and have many photo's, we also went to Discovery cove and would like to include this as well.

I bought the four parks one world deluxe scrapbook kit and the album to go with. I'm not really sure where to start.

Can anyone help with some ideas ?

hmmm it always takes me a while to get started.

My suggestion would be to decide how you want to do this book- by park/activity? sequentially?

I usually do my books by park so what I do first is oraganize all the pictures I printed into piles...resort, park, downtown, other.

Then I choose one for an opening page and go from there!

Definitely check out the sticky at the top of this section of the boards...the virtual scrapbook. It is chock full of beautiful pages that have been made by other disers and should hopefully give you some ideas to get you started! :thumbsup2

And don't forget to post your work to the sticky! We'd all love to see!

Hi!

I always have to mull over exactly what I want to do, but the one I'm working on now from Sep 09 is being done by event.....section for travelling to/from, one for each park, a section for the resort/hotel.

This time, I took one of my favourite photos from each park (the Castle from MK, SSE from Epcot, the Wizard Hat from HS and the Tree of Life from AK and printed them as 8 x 10s using the Kodak machine at my local Wal-mart to use as the Title page for each park - on the opposite page I have the brochure/map.

Which reminds me - I best get that scrapbook finished up SOON as I have a trip coming up in December - the theming for that book will probably still be by park, but definately a lot of holiday theming/stickers/colours.

I have a tendancy to group by park. Doesn't matter what day we were there. If I found a reoccuring theme (like DS's ability to wear his :mickeybar everytime he had one...) I would do a page on that.

I don't have a lot of reason behind how I organize my book but I do make an effort to keep the color scheme together as well as the pictures.

Good luck!

I've done by time - each day in order - and by park. It definitely helps to spread your pics out and decide what works best for you.

Thanks for your tips, I'll get them printed out and look through them to see if I can sort out some pages, I may be back on for more help if that's ok ?

Please come back and ask for help any time!!!
I usually don't print my photos but sort them out on computer (or my tv now has some option thru the Wii) and I tag the photos that are the best and I want to use...than I decide on the LOs... do I want a 4x 6 or 5x7, do I need some smaller ones and what size.... than I have them printed...

I use to print them all in 4 x 6...and I have numerous duplicates of the duplicates of the duplicates because I lost track.... So if anyone needs a photo of the WDW partners statue.. I have some extras! LOL

I've found it useful to have a ntoebook handy and work out what layouts I will do, and how many pics. Then if I find I have HUGE numbers, I can go with a smaller format (I tend to group them in 2s and 4s in Picasa so i can order them as a standard print from Snapfish, as wallet-sized are so expensive;))
