HELP..I can't find a low airfare!

I hate to be negative but we flew Air Tran from Rochester NY,had an 8AM direct flight to Atlanta and didn't leave ROC until 5:30PM. We were stupid to wait but we trusted the Air Tran employees when they told us that an empty plane was on it's way from ATlanta. One employee made an announcement that the plane was in the air and even pointed it out on the radar screen. I'm happy for people who have had good experiences with them but I'd never fly with them again.
