I am going to WDW in Oct with a DVC member and staying at a grand villa. My questions are can I still use Magical Express even though the room is not in our name and can we use our room key as our credit card?

TIA!

Yes, you can use ME. You may have to give oyur flight info for the DVC member to call in to Member Services, but if they're sharing a GV with you, I'm guessing that's NOT a problem.

I'm not sure ow the charging works. I'll leave that to ne of the experts.

Have a WONDERFUL trip!

Only one credit card per villa, so the member will probably have their's on their key. You'll probably have to use your credit card instead of your room key.

One charge card per unit is what is done. Each room card has a number key that prints on the room charge. Some folks say they easily sort out the charges this way and then settle up. It is something to discuss with all and decide if it is worth the effort or just use your own charge card.

As an owner who usualy has guests staying with us, we NEVER allow our guests charging priveleges on the key. They just carry a charge card with them instead. It keeps everyone on friendly terms. Actually, since the card used is usually my DH's, I usually carry my own credit card myself, since I don't want to put my purchases on his card.

LOL DH's card is OUR card. My card is my card. :rotfl2:

one charge card --

what we have done in the past is put no charging privileges on the keys and everyone uses their own. That way less confusion and arguments while on vacation.

ME can be used--just have to give the DVC member the info

Have a great trip! :sunny:

Same here.... :rotfl2:

Anyway, another thought also is that if everything goes on one card, then the guests reimburse that cardholder, then you need the cash to do that. While I know most people pay cash for their vacation expenses :rolleyes2 some of us like to defer some expenses until we get home or just like plastic for ease of use.
