Wow, I was just checking all my ressies and when checked my GF ressie online it said Lodge Concierge under room type. I thought the only thing available was a garden view for $394. Did some pixie dust get thrown our way? If this is an upgrade what can we be expecting? This is a surprise for my DD. We're going to MNNSHP tomorrow night and she's always wanted to stay at the GF. Hope someone can help!!!!

HI, Lodge Concierge is the Sugar Loaf Building and faces the Marina(not the Castle) or the GF grounds(garden view). You can step out the door that faces the Marina in the Lounge and you will have a GREAT view of the Castle. If you have been upgraded this is a wonderful Concierge! It has some great food offerings, particularly at "TEA" time. They offer the same delicious treats you would find if you went to "TEA" in the main building.ENJOY! Joan

Is the Lodge in the main building and what type of food do they do for concerige level (bfast, appetizers???)? Thanks

tinkfan4ever - The Sugar Lodge building is located between the marina and the courtyard pool, about a 2 minute walk from the main building. It's a perfect location! If you check the last couple of pages on the GF thread, you'll see a "live" post from StephH, who is at Sugar Loaf until Saturday.

Breakfast offerings would include an extensive continental-type spread (sometimes with something hot); mid-day snacks would include cheese and crackers, goldfish, pretzels, chips, sodas, etc.; evening (5-7) offerings are hot and cold appetizers with beer, wine and sodas; and the evening desserts (8-10) are to die for and also include cordials. It's a wonderful upgrade! Enjoy!

Keep and eye on StephH's posts - I'm sure she will share lots of details!

If you were upgraded, what a great treat for you!

We were upgraded at the GF last week from Garden View to Sugar Loaf Concierge also! We didn't know until we were told at check-in. It was a wonderful location (we were on the third floor overlooking the marina). It was very convenient to both the main building and the boat dock.

The food was wonderful. We were on the free dining plan AND had the unexpected addition of the concierge lounge, so we ate A LOT! Breakfast was good, usually fresh fruit, good pastries and ham and cheese plates. The cookies and brownies at mid-day were great, and the hot hors d'ouevres at 5:00 were great. They had cordials in the evening around 9:00.

ENJOY it!!! We loved the GF!

Congratulations, that is fantastic if you were upgraded. Seems like you must have been if that is how your reservation is listed. Have a fabulous stay ! :cloud9:

Nice upgrade Tinkfan. How are you arriving at the resort, car or ME? Just let the security guard or bellman know that you are staying in Sugar Loaf. Someone from the concierge team should come down to meet you and escort you back to the lodge for a private check in. No need to go to the main reservation desk. A surprise for your DD and a very nice suprise for you too.

Since it's tomorrow, I think yes, you did get an upgrade. Since rooms are typically assigned a couple of days beforehand, your room should already be assigned. It's very interesting that it shows up online. That's good to know.
