HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are going to Disney Nov 30-Dec 7 using the DDP. I am making reservations soon and need help. I have visited allearsnet.com to view menus and have read just about every restaurant review on the web,but all this does is make my decision tougher. We have 7 TS and 7 CS meals to eat. Any suggestions on where and which meal? DS is 12 and is a meat, no potatoes unless fried in the shape of a stick, kinds guy.

Here are my thoughts--
Epcot--Le Cellier (D)--love steak
Epcot--Coral Reef (D)--love fish--on plate and in aquarium
MGM--Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic dinner (is this worth the special seating?)
Resorts--Whispering Canyon Cafe (D)--sounds fun and good
Resorts--Cafe May (B)
How difficult is it to leave a park to go eat dinner at a resort? We thought we could do late res after park is closed???

HELP!!!

We have not tried H&V or Cape May, so I can't comment on those. We really like your other three choices. In addition to their seafood, Coral Reef has an excellent steak!

It's not hard going from a park to any resort by bus, except that you have to realize that at park closing, there will be a big crush of people waiting for buses. That will take a little time to sort out. The harder part will be going from one resort to another. You'll probably have to bus to DTD and then to your resort, because there are no resort-to-resort buses.

By car, it would be easy both ways, of course.

I do not know how many people are going but today was my 180 + 10..my first day to make my ADR's. I called at 5am my time and could only get a 8:50 for dinner at Le Cellier. I would call as soon as you can.

Your thoughts are good....we also really like Les Chefs de France. Cape May is good--the character breakfast there is wonderful. Yes, make ADRs as soon as you can. However, if you can't get everything you want, don't panic. We found that we were able to change ressies even after arriving at WDW when DD either changed her mind or the place we really wanted hadn't been available in advance. People do cancel.

The atmosphere at Whispering Canyon was fun, but the food really wasn't that good. 50s Prime Time (at MGM) had similar atmosphere with better food.

Le Cellier is very popular, so book it soon!

I don't remember a thing about the food at Coral Reef (its been almost a decade since I was there), but I loved the atmosphere. I'm sure my kids will too, so I've got it on our must-do list for our Dec trip.

I decided to skip the Fantasmic package because none of the restaurants appealed to me. A lot of people here on the DIS said that it isn't necessary during the slow season (we're going the week after you are).

The difficulty in getting to and from resort dinners depends on the resort and the time. From Cape May, you'll be able to walk or boat to Epcot to take a bus back to your resort and from WCC you can use the boat to MK, but if the close park is closed, you'll have to use a different park with later hours or DTD as a transfer point. Or you could call a cab, which is what we're planning to do for the dinners that are likely to run late enough that Disney transportation won't be convenient.

Your choices look good, but I would suggest '50s Primetime instead of Hollywood and Vine. We didn't do the Fantasmic package either due to the choices. We had an early ADR at '50s Primetime and had a great seat at Fantasmic by showing up early.

I also notice you don't have any character meals. These are extremely fun and come in varying themes. We did Crystal Palace in MK, which features the Pooh characters. Your son may not be crazy about that, but I hear Chef Mickey's is a lot of fun. I'll be trying their breakfast next time.
