HEY GUYS,
WHO KNEW DISNEY WOULD SMACK US WITH SUCH A GREAT DEAL?? I DIDNT AND THATS WHY I ONLY BOOKED 6 NIGHTS 7 DAYS FROM AUGUST 9- 15 WITH DELTA FOR MY PLANE FARE. SO I HAVE DC AND WHEN I CALLED TO PRICE IT OUT THE LADY IS LIKE ITS THE SAME EXACT PRICE IF YOU STAY 7 NIGHTS 8 DAYS- 1587.53 FOR STANDARD CONTEMPORARY WING? I WAS LIKE WOW THIS IS GREAT FORGETTING THAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE MY PLANE FARE IT WILL COST ME A 100 DOLLAR CHANGE FEE FOR THE TWO OF US AND WHATEVER THE DIFF IS IN THE FARE NOW- I CANT STAND THESE CHANGE FEES. SO MY QUESTION TO YOU GUYS IS DO YOU STILL THINK ITS WORTH ME BOOKING THE PACKAGE FOR 6 NIGHTS EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD OF COST ME THE SAME IF I STAYED 7 NIGHTS??? I HOPE I GOT MY PT ACROSS CLEARLY:bounce: :Pinkbounc
BTW I LOVE THE CONTEMPORARY!!
ANYWAY YOU GUYS CAN HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

For $100 more and you get another day/night in WDW?? Yep, get thee to the phone and call Delta.

Well you did get 2 free days, it is woth it but I agree with googy4tink. Call Delta and pay the $100 to stay at The WORLD for another day. Only if you it saves you money.

Those change fees are so annoying! I'd say take out a piece of paper and pencil and do the math. Then, when you have the numbers in front of you, decide which is worth more (if it will cost more with the change fees). I have a sneaking suspicion that you'll be at WDW for an extra day!

Enjoy your trip!!!

Erin :D

Do you have passes yet? Because if you rebook with the package, you'll get 7 nights for the price of 4 and also 7nite/8day UPHs for the price of 4nite/5day UPHs. So don't forget to factor that in the price when figuring it all out. ~:D~

Arnt those change fees per ticket?
Cause I'm in the same boat and I called Delta yesterday
and I swear thats what the lady said.

I was somewhat in the same boat as you are this past April. I booked United, staying for 5 nights and when the time was drawing near, I said to myself that 5 nights is just not enough time to do what I wanted to do, so I called United and I paid $300 (3 people) to change and added 2 more nights. I paid even more for the price difference. So this past trip cost me even more than what I intended to pay. Was it worth it to pay more...You bet!! It was worth every penny! I was able to see and do the things we wanted to do and really enjoyed our trip.

Now this time, I booked NWA staying for 9 nights to make sure that this will give us again enough time in Orlando and I played it safe so I will not change my flight date.

I would say...go for it...change the flight date and stay longer in the World! It may or may not cost you more...but to be in the "World" and enjoy the time of your life is...PRICELESS!!

I would call Delta first.

Changes fees are $100 per ticket PLUS any fare increase. So if you have really cheap tickets and all the really cheap fares are sold out for your new travel date you could wind up paying a LARGE upgrade fee.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for your help but I still dont know if i can afford 200 dollars and whatever the change fee is in airfare. So if I cant do u guys still think the package is good for 6 nights???

Bumping for myself

THANKS:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

did you already have a price before the FT pkg came out?? If it was cheaper I would stick with it..if the FT pkg is cheaper go with it for the 6 nights..

With the FT pkg you are getting 2 nights and 2 days of UPH tickets for free, but you are paying top rate for both for the 4 nights...

If you did not have previous ressies and price I would call back and price out room only with PHP tix from ticketmania for as many days as you think you may need it...it may end up cheaper for you...do you have AAA or any other discount you could apply to a room only ressie

I'm somewhat in the same boat...I have 6 nights booked in July at Beach Club on a comeback rate of $1,160. I will be buying about $500 of admissions to supplement the unused tickets I'll be bringing along. We are a party of 3 teens and 1 adult, and my vacation plan was SAB, Downtown Disney, and "hotel hanging" on the travel days plus one day midweek, along with three days of parks, one e-night, and one water park. The FT give would give me more park time, but the price is about $700 more (my figures are at home, but I think that's what the CM told me last night). so I am pretty sure I am going to stick with my original $1,660 plan. But this was after much soul-searching!!!!!!

About the airplane change fees--to beat a snowstorm for our February WDW trip, I not only paid the $100 per ticket change fee, but got hit with a prevailing fare price that was about $300 more PER TICKET. It's worth checking the fine print with the airlines.

The other thing is to hope for a flight cancellation (in adequate time so that you can make arrangements for a longer length of stay.). Our July flights have gotten changed twice so far. The first time they got changed, from airport to airport, I cancelled the tickets rather than accept the transfer, and then bought the same tickets throug Travelocity for about $90 less per ticket because I changed the days around a little! It just takes forever for airlines to credit back to your charge account, it seems.
