Hell's Kitchen - New Season

I'm excited for this season. I liked Robert a lot last season and am glad he's back. Also Jim is a chef at our favorite restaurant. I've had the seared tuna that he made for his signature dish in the first episode. Excellent dish and was very pleased to see Chef Ramsey rate it as "delicious":thumbsup2
The drama was something else. Was thrilled to see Melinda leave; she was creepy. Really wonder how Louie ever got there, and Joseph and Van are something else:scared1:

I had heard that someone from CR Sparks was on - nice to know who it is. I am not a tuna fan but every dish I've ever had at Sparks was awesome! So I think I am now rooting for Jim.

It was a good premiere. But like others I have to wonder if Robert is going to have health issues again. He is heavier than ever it looks like. And I also agree that the diner guy was a plant to get Robert back into the show. Diner food is awesome but not what you expect to see in Chef Ramsey's kitchen. I love sausage gravy and biscuits but it is not fine dining.

For the first half of every season I wonder where these contestants came from and how on Earth there will be a winner. Between the burnt or raw Wellington and the over or undercooked risotto, the raw or rubbery scallops and the dry John dory......:dance3:I often think that they should learn to cook the signature dishes of that kitchen before showing up.

Should be interesting to see how the Joseph and Chef Ramsey scene plays out.

Chef will probably look at him and say either get back in line or get the *bleep* out of my restaurant.

What is high school "Meet me in the *bleeping* parking lot."

:rotfl:

And taking off his jacket in a fury and throwing it on the floor....yup so juvenile! :headache:
BUT it should be good!!!!!!! :happytv:

Oh my word. Joseph is a *bleeping* punk. He sounds like he belongs on the streets instead of the kitchen.

Do you guys think Joesph was for real or an actor hired to play that part? The main reason I think he was for real is if they hired him to play the part I don't think they would have body guards come in to protect Ramsey. If it was fake, Ramsey and Joesph would have just had the words and Ramsey would have thrown him out. Since body guards came in I'm leaning toward Joseph being a real nut case.

Tenille is from my hometown and massively screwing up scallops right now

Joseph's either a nutcase or really good at acting like a nutcase.

OMG the red teams lamb chops are:scared:

Joseph certainly was an interesting character. Ok, he is freakin nuts. And after his display of character, if I owned a restaurant, I would not hire him. How the heck would you know if he would freak out again and do something worse than want to fight in the parking lot?

I vote for actor. Wasn't Joseph billed as a marine? Marines are known for being disciplined and psychologically tough.

OTOH, there's no shortage of nutcases eager for their 15 minutes of fame on a reality show (along with producers looking for "shock" value for ratings), so who knows? :confused3

Yeah, I'm cynical.

I hope Joseph watched himself last night to see how idiotic he looked. "I ain't no *****" Um, yeah you are. :rotfl2:

AND it was even funnier when Chef Ramsay said it at the very end of last night's show.......:rotfl2:

I just cannot believe that dude, Joseph....I am so confused. First of all, if he was a "plant"...what is the point of that? I have seen several seasons now and Chef has not had "plants" before....? Secondly, why would Joseph take an opportunity to be on HK and behave the way that he did...just so disrespectful. Viewers are not going to forget him for awhile...I do not think he will have much of a career as a chef. :headache:

There is no such thing as an ex-Marine. ;) Once a Marine always a Marine!

Unless it's a Dishonorable Discharge. ;)
I wasn't thrilled with how this season started, but now that Joseph is gone, it seems to have come back to what I had expected from previous seasons. I'm glad there seem to be so many who can hold their own in a kitchen, finally! They seem to be less inept than seasons past. LOL

Joseph is a freaking idiot and a such a horrible example of a Marine. He had zero respect for Ramsey, yet expected Ramsey to respect him? :rotfl: Idiot. Glad that he is gone. Wish he had never been there though because he took the place of someone who probably deserved to be there more then he ever did.

Robert got on my nerves last season, hope he has chilled a little and is better this season.

None of the others are looking that good yet, but it is still early.

Oh, and the whole fire drill thing. I thought it was unbelievably stupid. Scare everyone to death and it was nothing more then a stupid stunt. Great, so now if a real fire breaks out or something happens everyone will just take there time figuring it's another joke. Don't they have that story "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" in England? :sad2:

Whatever it was he did not show his service in a good light, did he? I have two nephews in the Marine Corps and while I generally would never speak for either one of them, I can safely say that they would not want his guy at their back. Talk about a loaded cannon!

I am hoping that Robert has a good season this time. I was sorry to see that he had some issues in the kitchen this week.

I loved when the guy said "Remember the Alamo!"

Dude... they were MASSACRED at the Alamo!

Unless it's a Dishonorable Discharge. ;)

Haha, that's exactly what my husband and I figured happened as well. I'm glad he left this episode though, it would have been obnoxious to have him there for any more time.

I was surprised by Robert's weight too...he looks even bigger than last season. He definitely has a leg up by knowing what Chef expects, although it didn't really seem to matter last night since he messed up anyway.
