Hello from the Jan 10 cruise!

Hi everyone. Patiently sitting here in line. Family is driving me crazy. Think I might find a place to hide from them on the ship!!!

So far....

Yesterday the flight was late but uneventful. They had to de-ice us as it was snowing in the DC area. Glad I missed the debacle...oh what a mess it was! I work for the schools and let's just say they didn't make a good choice yesterday.

Checked-in to the Hyatt on arrival at the airport. The rooms were ready, front desk staff was great. We had 3 rooms, the keys for one room didn't work but the maid was nice enough to open the room so we could get in and then go get the keys redone. My only complaint is the beds are uncomfortable, at least to me. I'm used to my sleep number bed which is hard or soft depending on my mood.

Spent the day in WDW parking hopping and mostly shopping. Caught the Xmas Country Bears show, Buzz Lightyear, and that was about it. Ate dinner at Boma, wonderful as usual.

Today took a van to the port and got here no big deal. Have APLAPLA rotation so that's great I can work it perfectly.

I will post more later tonight (from the Internet Cafe or Cove Cafe by then).

THanks for the update! I will be watching closely as we will be getting on the Magic when you get off! One week to go!!

The weather is COLD but sunny. Currently it's 14 at home, so I think anything in Florida is better !!!

Hi! I was wondering about hopping over to WDW after flying in (and staying at the Hyatt).

We are going in September and we could take an early flight and have all afternoon and evening to explore.

Did you rent a car for the day? Or take shuttles over to WDW?

Was it worth it? Or did you feel rushed?

The two pics you got from the two palms cam are not of the Magic, I am sorry to say, that was the ship that left just before the Magic did today. The Magic didn't go past Two Palms until about 5:43pm.

I know, when I first saw the front of the ship I thought to myself the Magic got there fast, then I remembered seeing the tail end of the other ship going up the port channel just before the Magic pulled away from port. At least the Magic went past Two Palms today before the cam stopped for the day.

There is a discussion on another thread, that if you could check out would solve a lot of questions. Would you please be so kind as to ask In Shutters if they have the service that you pay to have your digital memory card downloaded onto CD?

If this request can't happen, that is just fine. I just thought I would ask current cruisers until I get the answer. I really appreiciate it. And will post while on our cruise in March, so I can return the favor for someone else wanting to know the latest and greatest.

I'm not on the ship now, but I can answer that question. No....there is no ESPN zone on the Magic these days. During dry dock this fall the ESPN zone was remodeled into the teen area.

One of the bars does act in place of the ESPN and focus on sports. I am not sure which one since I am not into sports.
