Disgust is definitely far in the rear of my emotions. Not much disgusts me, really. In general, I'm pretty much tolerant of everything! Although this morning I was pretty disgusted.QOTD - May 9View attachment 167375
Happy Mood Monday!! Let's devote today to everybody's favorite emotion - disgust!!
Is disgust one of your leading emotions? Are there ways that feelings of disgust help you or hurt you on your journey?
My intuition had told me we had a mouse in the house about a week ago. I heard some rattling in the trash can cabinet once, but aside from that, I never saw evidence of one. I just knew though . . . It's actually an unusual time to have a mouse in the house. They usually try to come inside in the winter when the weather gets colder and food is scarce. Springtime is very unusual.
But, this morning, I went to feed the dog and inside her food bag was a puff of gray - there she was! She hit the jackpot - a bag of yummy food! Luckily, there was only one or two more servings of food in the bag, so (after my initial sharp intake of air -- disgust), I simply folded the top of the bag over and walked it outside to the trash and threw it away. If the mouse finds its way out of the trash -- good for it. It's trash day, so hopefully it will find its way out several blocks away after a ride on the trash truck and I won't have to worry about a return visit! It was just a field mouse (not some snarling rat), so it was definitely not fear that I felt. Disgust was a good way to describe it (and I little bit of triumph that I was right in the first place).
