ITA. You would think that by now that nothing should surprise DH on how things go in GoT, but he did not see that coming to Prince Obrek (sp?). I had a feeling it would since things in GoT seem to happen as if it were in real life compared to what we are used to reading in fiction books. I've come to expect it with this series.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who did, flipping gruesome ending to that episode.I did. I said as much to DH and he cracked up.
DH was shocked by the way that fight ended, I wasn't at all. As Oberyn was prancing around I was thinking "Hasn't this guy ever seen an action flick? The guy with the gut wound always has one last kill in him!"
Gosh, I remember Iwan Rheon when he was in a welsh language soap called 'Pobl Y Cwm' playing Macsen, he's a bit different now ooh er.
I am thinking it'll be the season finale...if you are thinking of the same death I am.My DH was shocked, too. I've read the books so I knew what happened and I was dying to tell him. It was so hard during that scene to stay quiet and not give anything away. When it was over he said he wasn't expecting that. So now he wants to know what happens to the Mountain, if he lives or dies, but I won't tell him that either.
At first I didn't like all the unexpected deaths of central characters, but now that's one of the things I like the most. NO ONE is safe and even though I know that, I still get invested in the characters. There's 1 death in particular that I really hope happens this season. I don't want to have to wait for next year for it.
This has been a good season. It's moved at a pretty fast pace and has had very few dull moments. Best season so far, I think. I wish we didn't have to wait so long between seasons.
