Out of 20 hibs I only have 3 blooming this morning BUT I was sooooooo close to snapping a pic of a humming bird on one but it flew off right when I snapped the shot

Here are the 3 I have blooming this morning

and this is my PURTY ONE!!!!!

Its still just a baby but when it matures the blooms will be 10 inches across!

I am envious, Brook. When I try to grow things they die. I had a beautiful orchid, and I worked really hard at keeping it alive but it was a lost cause. I told BF I wanted to have a little garden and he said he wasn't going to buy me a bunch of plants so I could kill them.

orchids are tough.
Hibs in my area are super easy to keep.
I add hibiscus fertilzer ...coffee grounds and water when they need it. Here is a link to a place that sells hibs along with care and all that jazz on them

I have several of their pretty ones ...they just aren't blooming this morning.

Brook~ nice flowers! I have hibiscus bush that has tons of flowers on is now.... my girls pick them and bring them in the house for me

OK ladies, so if Channing can ask about tipping the W/D guys I figured I could ask my question.......

I am going to the Podcast meet and greet, was suppose to be a live show but since Bob passed away they are not doing a show for a while. I am stumped at what to wear..... I was thinking about actually looking nice, like a sun dress and some cute shoes. I don't want to look over dressed, I just like to look cute, I "dress up" to go to walmart. So what do you think? I have a podcast TV shirt but I mean it seems a little weird wearing it to meet them

It is always better to be overdressed than underdressed, says the fashion diva in me.

Besides, a sundress and cute shoes an overdressed outfit does not make. It would be just right. Now, if you were showing up in a Dior ball gown with a feathered boa and 6-inch Louboutin heels, with your cabana boy in his Speedos showering rose petals on the path before you -- yes, that would over-doing it a bit.

I have a friend that is an orchid expert! She has some she has had for 15+ years, crazy! I also have a black thumb I am actually buying her house next year and she has an amazing bathroom, her garden tub is sunken and it is completely surrounded my the most gorgeous Orchids! I told her I wanted the Orchids and she was like " I love you, but I love my Orchids more"

pretty flowers!!

I kill everything and the fact that we live in a shaded wooded area helps me kill almost everything......the back of the house w/the pool is great though and I can have tons of potted flowers back there and some perenials that do well, too, but in front it's all shade.

Kelly - I am going to see how that GF Fact thread is going......I have so much laundry to catch up on and put away but I will be in and out here.....

Mandy, I think the sundress is more appropriate since they turned the thing into a memorial for Bob. That's great that you are going. I hope they are all doing OK....I am still feeling horrible about it and I didn't even know Bob or any of them.

That is sad about the GPS being stolen.

Ok, since I am 13 days out banana: ) I thought, for giggles, I would check out the 15 day forecast on Acuweather and they are calling for 93 on my arrival day Mandy, is it really that hot already down there??? How's the humidity?? May need to rethink my wardrobe to include more tanks/halters

We have had low to mid 80 highs and mid 60's lows (evenings) and that's the forecast for the next 7 days, gorgeous days! The humidity has not kicked up yet but if we start getting more rain then you can bet on some steamy afternoons. I honestly don't know how anyone can give an accurate forecast for more than 4 days out. I honestly would dress for warm weather

I'll keep you updated if things really heat up here!
