Bummer about the Ebay stuff... just reinforces my decision to never ever go over there and even look...

Tomorrow, after you are fresh out of the shower, put on your moisutrizer. Then get ready as you always do. Then try the mineral veil first (and I am generous when I pour it. Swirl some in and tap it- you will have some left in the lid- and apply it. Then get the rest of it, tap it reapply it.) Then try the foundation- again, I pour generously and swirl it in a little at a time with good tapping in between. Cover your forehead, get some more and do a cheek, get some more and get your other cheek, finish whats left and get your nose and chin- see where I am going with this?) Then let it sit and don't look at it- do your hair or something. After a few minutes see if you need to do that routine again with the foundation. Once you have had a chance to play with different combinations and amounts for a few days you will get a better feel for how much. I know on the DVD it looks like they barely put any in the lid- I use a lot more than they do, but I don't put it all on the brush at once- does that make sense

The clear radiance will help make it not look so flat (although it sounds like you might not be tapping enough off before you apply- you shouldn't see any floating in the air around you face as you apply it...)

If worse comes to worse, I am only 10 minutes away... we can play beauty salon!

Kristin, thanks. I am sure I am being a dork. I am in need of practice. I am looking forward to that Ulta apptment too. That will be great to see how it's done. I feel kind of itchy now, too, so maybe my moisturizer is not the right one to use. It is cheapy old Oil of Olay w/spf - so it goes on white and has to soak in. It never bugged me before but maybe it's not a great combination w/the BM?? Maybe I need something lighter weight. I always liked it because I have dry skin and it felt nice and gooey and moisty.

Well, Jo tried on her skirt and she is crazy about it & it looks great on her so I will take some pics and post them later. If I need to I will use jumbo safety pins to keep it up but it is cute. Lucy's is too - the one with that print that your DS has on his blanket. I'll post them later!!!

THANKS! I looked at my QVC order and the rest shipped the day after this stuff so hopefully it wll come tomorrow!! YAY! I am excited. I just know it's me being bad.

Maybe you need to use more foundation and blend more. Also, I agree with Kristin. Don't try to get all that's in the lid into the brush at one time. It's ok to tap, the apply a little, then swirl the rest that's left in the lid, then tap again, and apply a little more. Also, after I do mineral veil, foundation, mineral veil, I make sure to buff/blend a lot. In my mind, I am picturing that maybe you are seeing more lines because you aren't "buffing" quite enough. Maybe not though. Keep us updated on your BM progress!

Hannah just asked me if she could have doughnuts for dinner since she has been good today. Poor kid. I guess she thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

ETA, Channing, the moisturizer may not be a good combo with the mineral makeup ... Did you have that one when you tried the BM the first time and noticed all the new lines? Also, did you try the warmth? That really "wakes up" my face. I am pale and very very freckly myself, and I find the warmth gives me a nice bright sunkissed face without being too much.

How about that AI? I thought the Brook lady did great with her Pat B song...and the Irish girl - love her. Nobody else stood out for me. I wish they would leave the Whitney songs. It just makes them look second rate because nobody can match Whitney. I am surprised their vocal coaches don't clue them in on this fact.

OK, this is SO off topic, but my heart is breaking. They announced today that Patrick Swayze had pancreatic cancer. We lost my grandfather to it in 1983, 3 months to the day after his diagnosis. Patrick was diagnosed in January and I keep thinking we are going to hear word any day now that it is over.... he is only 55 years old...

OMG...that is HORRIBLE. I can't believe it. How sad. I am shocked. PS...we don't have to stay "on topic" here. haha....No, I am really sorry for him though. that is just awful.

I was just coming back to post pics of some of the stuff we received today....don't ask my why the funky poses. She gets in front of a camera and acts like a goofball. It's the hiphop in her.

Me too. It's off center though. Can you believe it? I took it out of the box and I could SEE it is off. I measured and it's almost 1/2 inch off the center. Bummer. It is cute though. Maybe it's not so noticable on. I over resized my pics so that is why they turned out so dark and grainy. I just realized that so the next batch are better.

Channing: I think you are right, they should NOT try to do Whitny songs; it does make them look bad. I love the shirt! In that photo you can't tell it is off center. Maybe it is better on and no one will notice. Very cute bows.

Kristen, BF's dad died from pancreatic cancer as well. It also took him in just three months. He was only sixty.

I read Perez Hilton, yes, I know, I know, no comments please, and he suggested that everyone buy Patrick Swayze's "She's Like the Wind" on itunes and make it go to the Top 10 as a gesture that we are thinking about him. I thought that was pretty neat.

Love all the pics of the outfits. Hannah poses like that too. We took pictures of her in her ballet costume for the revue the other and she kept posing like she is in the hip hop class! Who made the flip flops? We need some of those.

I mentioned that about not calling it BM a while back. I didn't think anyone else noticed the irony of the abbreviation!

Our weather is still crazy! After snow/ice Monday night, we steadily warmed up and yesterday was gorgeous -- sunny and 70. Now today, we've already hit our high, temps are dropping and we will have rain/snow tonight in to tomorrow morning, with it warming up again tomorrow and back in to the 60s this weekend. I'm still hoping to see some fat flakes!

I think the outfits are adorable. JoJo is so cute and I love the poses she does. I can't wait until my nieces have enough hair for the custom bows. They are too cute.

I have been wanting to try BM products but like you Channing, I was very intimated by the DVD so I haven't tried them yet. I am a M.A.C. girl, now that's where I spend LOTS of money and I heard that they are coming out with their version of mineral stuff so I will definately be giving them a try.

Andrea, the lady that makes the flip flops also made all the bows. She is FANTASTIC and sooo nice. I can give you her email address if you'd like. I will PM it and her Ebay name is PETKEEPERS. She can do anything you want in any colors etc. Oh, I had to leave off some of Jojo's pictures because the poses almost looked like she was doing a layout for a men's mag. WTH? She just goes goofy for a camera. She has attitude.

Marci, the lady that makes the Minnie Pirate tees is an Ebayer called Scraps of Heaven. You can find her if you search SOFH. All her listings have that in them. She is super nice, too. I just feel kind of bad that things didn't turn out perfect but she really tried for me. She made the black/hot pink outfit Jo is wearing the tee says "WILD PRINCESS" on it. Jojo loves it!

I also have a super nice lady making sweatshirts for the girls. Those haven't come yet but I saw pics & they are adorable. So it seems ya win some you lose some on Ebay.

Amy, thanks for the nice comment - and ya, it doesn't look as off center when worn. That's great. I hope your wedding planning is going better & the guests are behaving and cooperating.

Hi Tammy! Thanks for the nice comments. The DVD is really actually easy. It wasn't intimidating at all. Very instructional and repetitive. I just want to look like THEM. I don't know what I am doing wrong!? I am make up challenged, though. I wasn't allowed to wear it in school so I got a late start.

Channing, I couldn't tell it was off center at all (and I am really good at picking that stuff up!!) The bows were the cutest!!

The Perez Hilton suggestion was awesome!! I love that song!! Adding that to my list of things to do today!! I feel so sorry for him!! I know they are trying to sound upbeat about it, but it really is just a matter of time...

The new Bare M nickname works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (even bm didn't send me into the giggles the way BM did )
