just make sure you disinfect your chair after your done :rotfl2:

That is another thing while we are girl talking and laundry talking.... you do know you should always wash your undies in the hotest water setting and let them soak if you have a soak setting on your washer.... VERY IMPORTANT to do this for us ladies ;)

Watch out everyone! She's giving out bargain board tips now! :rotfl2:

I told ya all I'd still share the budget board wealth & wisdom.
:rotfl2:

Next thing you know she is going to start telling us to shop WALMART :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

you gals do realize that this thread is quickly catching up to the FAq thread :rotfl2: :rotfl2: i wonder if it will beat it for getting locked out :rotfl2:

Channing don't tell me I need to explain to you about clean undies :rotfl2:

hot water kills bacteria... which can grow quickly in large amounts if not taken care of ;)

the super hot water soak kills any of that bacteria keeping your girlie parts germ free :sad2:

All joking aside, if you use proper hygiene and follow the very simple directions you should have no problem with a menstrual cup. For most people it is more an issue of not being comfortable with the practice. Sort of like breast-feeding.

Wikipedia has some nice informative info:

Oh I can be granola like... I breast fed all 3 of my kids. Savannah and I were nursing for 2 years :cheer2:
I am a huge supporter of breast feeding in case any of you didn't know :rotfl:
You also have to be careful with germs while breast feeding..... thrush is not a fun thing :scared:
It isn't a matter of being comfortable with something such as the diva cup. I question its safety for women. I am not in any way coming down on you for using it... I swear I am not and I am sorry if you took it that way. They just don't seem safe. Have you talked to your GYN about using it?

I nursed my daughter until she was 2 and a half also and I'm not at all granola-like.
I haven't seen my OB/GYN yet since starting to use the menstrual cup but since you mention it I'll be sure to ask him his opinion.
I can see your concern for women who may not know how to clean it/insert it/wash their hands each time... but other than that I personally can't see the problem. I mean, women all over the world use diaphragms, IUDs, etc. It's just a simple bell-shaped piece of rubber. Personally, I'm just thankful to be free of tampons and pads!!

Do you know how many pages you girls have racked up? Chat chat chat.

Mandy:[/B] Yeah!:goodvibes Planning is fun! Our 10th anniversary is next May. I'm waiting until we return from this trip to plan the DL one. I need to
spread out my Disney planning:rotfl: OMG! So sorry to hear about Bawb! I just really started getting into their podcasts and listen to a bunch of old ones over the weekend. It will not be the same without him:sad1:

Mandy and Kristin: I'll be hitting MK alone one EMH-AM, and I'll be mostly in Fantasyland. I'll be running to Dumbo the minute the rope drops, can I park my stroller anywhere near Dumbo or do I have to go ALL THE WAY to the stroller parking lot by Small World?

Mare

I agree with Kristin. I like to park at Pooh because it's a central location for doing all the FL and Toontown stuff:thumbsup2

O.K. guys- I am ready to start one of those polls SL vs. RPC....PLEASE STOP the MADNESS!!

Should I do the high class thing and stay in RPC or go slummin and stay in the SL.....decisions...decisions

Channing- I hope your dryer is vented :confused3

I guess if the SL is the slums then I don't know what you call GV? I guess you can't call all us GV girls trailer trash :rotfl: *I do not think that living in a manufactured home makes you trash, we have lots of land and have contemplated a modular home but this is FLA and hurricanes happens often around here*

Just wanted to add that I'm another one that's not interested in the dining plan and we always pay OOP. My DH hates counter service meals and when I explained the DP to him when it was first introduced he said "no" immediately.

I have a dear friend who's done the DP twice and is doing it again for free this August. The first time it was free and her first trip to WDW. She liked it but felt obligated to order the most expensive meals. The second trip she paid for the DP and hated it. She didn't feel it was worth it. She couldn't blow off ADRs and change their plans. She also drove herself nuts trying to get the best value for each meal carefully selecting each restaurant. She vowed never to do the DP again. Well, free dining came along and she's doing it. But she's not stressing over it this time. She's also upset that it's been changed and the free dining plan does not include an appetizer with dinner or gratuities. It used to. She's going to try to swap the appetizer instead of the dessert.

The DP saves you about $500 for two adults for the week. I have dropped more than that on tours, spa treatments and other extras. I believe the DP is for those people who otherwise couldn't afford to go to WDW.

If my boys were a bit older, I would have taken them in Sept w/free dining by myself and done the budget trip. It would have cost me $1,500 for 5 days at the PO-FQ, tickets, food and air. I'm the WDW nut in the family, DH is the resort snob. DH however works and pays for the vacations, so he selects the resort. :rotfl: Heck, I'd sleep on Main St. if they'd let me!:rotfl2:

Now, the Deluxe DP sounds more for us! But DH is still not interested!
:rotfl:

WE LOVE the DXDP! But I would do the DP, we thought it was almost too much food....

Scam artists!! I can't believe they took it!! :rotfl:

DS had a play date right after preschool and I was running errands this am. My LOFT box came today and all my clothes fit great!! (even the petite shorts) That black and white sundress is the CUTEST!!! But to those who also liked it, be warned, it runs big!! I am a size 4 and I took it in an XS :faint:

you make me sick ;)

well they lost me when i was reading about how to re use TP :scared:

:rotfl:

You guys are so mean!!!!!!!!!!! You must not speak ill of the Amish....

We love our Amish RPC girl:laughing:

Let's have a "Grand Gathering" for our little group at the POP and we could all sit around and watch Channing squirm!:rotfl2:

I can just hear her walking into the room and say "Oh my, a DOUBLE BED, how dreadful!" :rotfl2:

We could bring one of those black lights and check out the comforter, she will run screaming from the room!:rotfl2:

I dont see Channing stay at Pop. I have stayed there amd its okay. I think we should organize a ladies GF meet over a weekend and have a blast.
FUN! Can GV trash join?:rotfl:

OMG! Channing in Fort Wilderness! I'd call the Travel Channel and tell them to film a new Disney Special "Disney Luxury Meets Big Time Budget Resort"

Just kidding Chan! I wouldn't stay in a tent or a smelly cabin there if ya paid me!:rotfl:

Good one:thumbsup2

Back to reality.......

I just read the Unofficial WDW Guide for 2008. I never read it before and it was interesting. They gave such detailed room suggestions. They said SL didn't have really good views. I didn't pay too much attention to all their details, it was just too in depth for me.

They mentioned all these things that I never heard discussed on the boards, like:

Disney is going to offer a Halloween Party in DHS this fall.

Disney Immaginears are considering moving Carousel of Progress to Epcot and make it a walk thru attraction with interactive futuristic appliances and putting an "Incredibles" themed roller coaster in Tomorrowland.

Still talk about Spain becoming another country in Epcot. I heard this one on a tour back in 2001!

There were more tidbits throughtout the book that I can't remember. I returned it to the library this morning.

Has anyone ever heard of any of these rumors. The book did not indicate that they were "rumors" really implying they were facts.

Mare

Blasphemy..... COP is my all time FAVE!

1. Mr Mike is a pharmacist and a married man.... he knows the kinds of infections and deals with the scripts for them haha

2. You can EASILY give yourself an infection. All joking aside here... total girl talk.... anything that enters that area should be sanitized. EVEN certain romantic items you might have .... they need to be disinfected in between "use".... maybe TMI but I would hate to see someone suffer with an infection so being pretty honest and blunt.
I am not saying I am against the Diva cup ...for myself YES... but if they are for you I would seriously disinfect them before reinserting them. The bacteria can grow and 1 little germ may not cause a problem but those suckers breed fast and the next thing you know your in the doc's office with a PROBLEM... a problem that can make you infertile if not taken care of. :goodvibes

I am SO glad Mr. Mike is not "here" right now, that whole Diva cup thing would freak him out :lmao:

Thanks for all the "health" tips Brook. I know you were being serious but I LOL I am going to get some alcohol wipes for the night stand and insist Dh use them :rotfl:

That was fun reading up on all I missed.

I have heard of that Diva cup thing..... It's not a new thing it's been around for a while. I am using canvas bags for grocery's, stopped buying bottled water and got a plastic jug, DH rides the bus to work, and I use cold water in the wash, but I'm only going so far to go green :rotfl:

Mandy I was being serious.... there are gals out there who forget about good hygiene in the heat of the moment!

Infections can cause us all kinds of problems :scared:
got to be careful with our girlie parts

night everyone... this girlie part is off to bed :thumbsup2

And now it is time for a public service announcement brought to you by: Brook

I'm a nurse. Trust me I have seen, smelled, and had to treat unhealthy girly parts.... :scared1: We know you say it because you care!

You are welcome. :thumbsup2 So what are you doing??? Trying to get a deluxe concierge room??? Standard RPC isn't GOOD ENOUGH for you????:rotfl:

Just trying to get more bang for my buck. I am following your lead on budgeting. I am figuring out the price per square foot of the room....I thought I would not feel sooo bad..... WRONG!! Why does everything have to be so dang expensive:headache:

Then you know what I am talking about... that area is in a very delicate enviroment.... anything can cause trouble.

As to the diaphram vs cup... when using the cup your cervix is open which puts you at a higher risk of bacteria getting in the womb. NOT GOOD. IMO

Oh by the way GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

My plan...just do not wear any. Then you do not have to wash them;)

Today I am dancing around the house and alllllll excited
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
The little weight loss fairy visited me last night in my sleep and I lost 5 whole pounds over night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I know..water weight and all that jazz but shhhhh I dont wanna hear it :lmao:

I am on my diet plan and not starving myself... sometimes these little fairies just show up while your sleeping and take those pounds!!!!

Now I am 5lbs from goal and 8 days until my re-birthday
I am getting closer... i wonder if I can bribe that little weight loss fairy for 1 more little visit :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

poor channing is going to read that and someone is going to have to travel over to her house to give her CPR

Hey..I am a budget minded kinda gal. Don't wear underwear, don't have to wash them hence less water, electricity and time.

See Mandy...now that is going green!
