. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.....the weather is just beautiful . DH and DS went hunting for a couple of hours so I'm home doing 
(shhhh....dirty word 
) and work on yet ANOTHER paper for hs ds that is due Monday 
. He's got a little bit done on it but I told him I'd look some things up and do some writing 
. Atleast it's nothing like what I just went through with ms ds 
. Then we've got plans with friends tonight so the day will probably fly by 
. 
. I know it's hard but hang in there and think good thoughts....we're all thinking of you and saying our prayers

. Although Captain Jack still has first place . 
. I TOTALLY understand though how you feel.....it would be so hard for me to go without DH because neither one of us have ever taken any kind of vacation without the other and I'm one for the same old, same old too........I don't like change either 
. But I think you'll have a blast with your two DDs......girls only trip for a few days is going to be awesome!!!!! And since you mentioned they'll only miss 4 days of school instead of 5, that's a big plus 
. I just can't believe you leave in just 3 weeks!!!!. You're going to have a FABULOUS time 
. But the scary thing is that when you go, it's ALREADY THANKSGIVING 
. I'm totally NOT ready for the holidays yet......even though the holidays are my favorite time of year the time is going by way too fast .. BTW....I'm still lookin' at Jack a million times a day

I used to LOVE the games but I am feeling lazy a lot lately. Friday means IT"S THE WEEKEND...and that means NO COMMITMENTS! I told you I was commitment phobic. 
.. ... I think I know who won...I knew before any polls came out. Good to hear the polls agree. As far as substance...ONE person over there kept basically repeating himself over and over and what he said got old fast. 
Just watching it I could see the difference in thoughtful answers and meaningful substance vs.the same old garbage over and over.....the VP debates should be some good TV.
I just needed to change my mind set that it will be fun but different. 
I haven't seen her for a couple of years so am really looking forward to this visit. I switched my day off next week to Friday instead of Monday, so I will be cramming into 2 days what I usually do in 3. Glad you have finally decided to go. I wish I had a DD to take on a mother daughter trip. You will have a great time with just the girls. Hope JoJo is feeling better soon.

Ya...the old man keeps singing the same OLD song. It is just hard for me realizing the family dynamic is changing as they get older.
Our family trips are just not the same. DS probably won't be going with us anywhere on spring break either. I have to look on the brighter side though....STINKY boys...LOL Dawn. They sure can be a drag sometimes...that's what I need to keep in mind. Maxie, have a great time with your sister!!! Enjoy your time off. ....can't believe i am still sitting here in my PJs in a messy kitchen. .
Someone on the GF FAQ thread just posted the refurb schedule for the GF. It looks like there will be major work going on there from now through next summer. The floor in the main lobby is scheduled to be done during our stay in May. I am really bummed. They will be painting the outer lodges also. I don't want to panic yet, but maybe I should cancel and wait until next Dec to stay RPC? Or maybe everyone else will cancel and there will be a code or AP discount. Maybe it won't be as bad as it sounds.
Once I decide where to stay I never have second thoughts until now. It is a lot of money to spend to be in the middle of construction.
I know that floor is going to be a big job...but I would wait and see how it goes. IT's supposedly all ready & prepped under the carpet so maybe it won't be as disruptive as it could be.?? I think that was kind of an alarmist type post. They are REALLY ALWAYS working on things at the Gf. Last November when we were there, they had the lifts out and wre painting the outside of the lodges.....they were doing outer and interior painting when we were there in July....in RPC even. No biggie. We just walked around it. They are starting that floor right after the Xmas crowds. We will hear reports of how disruptive and noisy it actually is. Don't worry or panic now. We knew it was coming.......it is going to be beautiful. Just wait and see..... I am not sure who that person is or where they got their info Not to say it isn't true, but the GF is always being worked on - we just don't see it all down in print usually.

. . I quick fast looked to see if anything was going on during our dates in July . Without remembering exactly what was going on, I think they're only doing outside painting on 1 or 2 of the buildings while we're there ....but I know what you mean about paying all that money and being surrounded by construction the entire time . Even if that's the case....I'm sure you'll have a great time . I don't know if I could wait from May until December . . And having great nurses and staff makes this entire ordeal a little easier to deal with . Hopefully he's back on the road to recovery and will be home soon . That's great what you guys are doing for the Christmas party

. I just love the weather in October.....and it is a nice little break away from all the school hassles . . We've gone the night before and arrived late and it's great knowing you are going to wake up the next morning and you're already there.....no getting up at the break of dawn and traveling half the day . But good luck deciding.....you'll have a great time no matter which you choose . . Catch ya all later

Deb & Dawn....it feels kinda fall ish out today, huh? I want to sit around and read or something lazy and cozy like that. I should go buy some mums and do a bit of stuff outside, but it's not PRETTY fall yet. I wonder when the trees will change?

I wouldn't change my whole trip until Dec, just the resort. I didn't know this when I booked, but we check in to RPC on Mother's Day. I really do not want to change resorts. ) right now.
