I think I figured out my trip!!!!!

Kelly! Halloween party on 10/21!!!! BE THERE LOL...it is a Tuesday night and it is an AP advanced ticket discount nt....how far in advance do I have to buy the tickets? It all depends on the weather IMO.....If it's ugly I don't think we'd go....can i buy it early that same day??? There is also one on 10/19....depending on the weather we might do that one...although I don't know...i am commitment phobic.

I also got a $255 SWA CREDIT!!!!!
This is my magical day! It could get better though! Always room for improvement!

Marvel, I am glad you're feeling better...but you should still see a doctor.

Chan....WTG.......YAY on the SWA credit !!!! So it's a go for your October trip ?? I hope so....just go have a great time . No principal yet.....I just finished my ironing and noticed the time....think I'll give him a call now.....hopefully I'll be able to get him .

OK.....NO principal . This is the reason I got my butt out of bed at any ungodly hour yesterday to make a special trip to see him at 7:30 in the morning . I had some issues last year when DS was in 7th grade........LONG STORY.......and every stinkin' time I called there was always an excuse as to why he wasn't available . I kinda figured as much would happen now........so I left a message for him to call me.......probably won't be until Monday . Oh well....I won't let it ruin my weekend as I finished that stupid report last night and DS turned it in today (hopefully ).....so that's out of my hair . I just want that witch of a teacher to get what she's got coming for what she did yesterday . I'm off my soap box now......carry on .


Chan.....I just now noticed (DUH!!!) that your trip is just THREE WEEKS away ......that will be here before you know it !!! You're going to have a great time .

He just called me . He said he did talk to her and she DID indeed ADMIT to doing everything DS said she did in class....and that it WAS inappropriate behavior on her part . He said DS will be getting an apology from her and that he will be taking care of this matter with the union reps .....so things aren't looking too good for her right now . But....if that's how she wants to act, then she needs to deal with the consequences . He went on to say we now wait and see what grade DS gets and go from there. He told me in our meeting yesterday that he will make sure the grade reflects the work done . I laughed when I told DH because I said "The grade BETTER be a good one because I did it......and I'm a college graduate" . Now to wait for the grade .

I better get going as we'll be leaving for football in about an hour. Have fun at the game tonight . GO SOX .

I am so glad he didn't leave you hanging for the weekend. Hopefully the union will not back her too hard as it seems it is time for her to go!

DS's bus should be here in about half an hour and we are off.

Oh well, if they don't win I can move onto my "other team"

Glad you are feeling a little better, but you still need to go to the doctor!!!!

I don't care too much for Johnny/Tim Burton movies. If someone wouldn't have told me that was Johnny under all that make up, I would have NEVER recognized him in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I enjoyed Sweeny for the singing alone (what is up with all the dang white make up???)

The first JD movie I ever saw was Cry Baby and I loved it. I am also a huge fan of Blow, The Ninth Gate and Don Juan DeMarco. I am REALLY excited to see the Dillinger movie that comes out next year. So much of it was filmed here in Chicago, but alas *sigh* I was too tall to be cast as an extra...

BTW- great pics Wendy! It is one of my favs...

I've never heard of those movies.
I used to work in the entertainment industry ..(usher in movie theatre ) and find it hard to sit through movies now...As soon as one part seemed boring i used to walk out of one theatre andinto another. That is how we used to work...just walk back and forth through all the movies playing...

HI guys, I have spent the entire day with my dad. He is doing much better today. I spoke to the nurse that took care of him and sat at his bed side the first 12 hours he was in the hospital and she told me how bad he was. Scarry hearing how she was so afraid he was going to have a heart attack that she would not leave his side.

The nurses up here are so awsome! We are blessed my dad had a appointment or we would be at his funeral this wekend. Seriously, the embolisms are massive and the doctors have all reinteratedhow lucky we are to e looking at him alive.

God is Good!

Hey, Dawn! Yes...Jo has that nasty cough and fever....she has soccer tomorrow at noon so hpeflly she'll be better.

I switched my flight. I got an earlier one out on Saturday - which I am thrilled about -...and then an early eve flight on Thursday. I shortened the trip a bit so only 5 nts, but I am very happy for the credit (which will be put to good use ) and I redid my dining and got everything (mostly) that I wanted.....I feel better. I was totally having cold feet about going w/out DH and then this way the girls will miss 4 days vs 5..and then I am making them go Friday to get their homework so they can kind of catch up over Sat/Sunday.... Of course i checked your flights, too....they are awful. Are you flexible at all? Even a day or so before was not good though..yet. Maybe that will change. The cheapies I got today are already back up! I am glad I just bit the bullet and switched FAST.

I just emailed SE for a quote. I know it's gonna be steep.

I emailed my fabu hair bow lady...she is working on some cool Disney Halloweenies for the girls. And maybe some appliqued tees. I am now feeling better. It's just so SAD thinking about going w/out DH and even without DS...unreal I know, but true. But then I think GIRL TRIP..and I know we'll have a ball....I am just bad with change and this will be different.

How did the eval go today?

MAndy!! I am glad your dad is a bit better today. THat is really scary abut those blood clots. Hoping his heart is OK. That is a miracle that he's alive. Maybe because you have so many peeps praying and thinking good thoughts.

Deb! I am glad he called ya back FINALLY. It sounds like it will be OK. Mean teachers suck. Just be glad....a few more weeks and your DS will be outa there. Good thing it's not a core class.....

I love MNSSHP! I like it even better than the MVMCP..DD and I were there on just a girls trip the very first year they had it...The pic is still on my fridge...

I love the what will you be celebrating theme for next year...will have to plan a trip around someones birthday...

Even though DH and DS were with us on the last trip, DD and I did so much together that it felt like a girls trip! And as much as I love my guys, it was so nice to just have FUN with DD without the guys complaining and being a drag because they'd rather be golfing!! We shopped, ate, rode some of the same rides twice in a row, we waited for characters if we felt like it- whatever we wanted to do - it was wonderful just to spend some good quality mom/daughter time together! You will have a great time!!

Thanks guys. Wendy, thanks for the peptalk. I know we'll have fun! We have only done 2 or 3 days just us girls and then met up with the guys. I am just nervousy. I am just a stick in the mud, too. I like the same old same old.....

OMG...OK so now that I have it in my head I AM GOING for sure....I started some quick Disney shopping. I ordered Jojo a cute capri outfit with Minnie bling bling off an Ebay custom seamstress & I am in the process of getting a couple more Halloween style Disney outfits for her...and some hairbows and stuff like that....
