Hi Everyone!

Hope you all are enjoying the day...

Maxie~ I wouldnt worry too much about the work going on at the GF either..like Channing said they are always refurbishing something...when we were there this summer they were painting Big Pine exterior and you could barely tell (we were not in that building-so not sure from an inside view) but they only did small sections at a time very unobtrusive...I think thats pretty much how they try to do everything:) I wouldnt want to put off my vacation either...I'm sure you'll have a great time:thumbsup2

Mandy~ What a nice way for your parents to show their appreciation for the caring hospital staff...:) Glad all is going well for your Dad..

Dawn ~Your fall baking ideas sound yummy! I love trying new recipes...how do you make your pumpkin muffins?? I'd love to know the recipe...if you dont mind sharing it:flower3:

Vanessa ~I read the poopy Pop thread ...:scared: I'd go for the moderate too...

I love all the fall decorations best, there are so many varieties of mums , the pumpkins, love it all ! Even have a light up Mickey shaped pumpkin that we use for Halloween...(a little disney decorating for every season...;) )

Well better go get some more stuff done!!

Talk to ya all later....:flower3:

Afternoon Gals :cool2:. Thought I'd pop in and see what was happening before the Dallas Cowboys play at 3:00 :cool1: :cool1:.

Chan ~ I'm so glad you're finally getting into your trip and are excited to go :). You are going to have so much fun with the girls :wizard:. It does feel like fall today........although I'm not really ready for it :sad2:. I can't bring myself to get my decorations out because time is going way too fast and I don't want winter to get here :headache:. Maybe by the end of the week when it's actually October I'll get in the decorating mood .

Maxie ~ I would DEFINITELY keep RPC, especially since you check in on Mother's Day.....great treat for you :flower3:. I haven't even stayed at the GF yet but I'm sure your stay will be so great you may not even notice the construction :rolleyes1.

Dawn ~ I heard that too about the weather.......ONLY 60s this week :scared1:. I guess it's inevitable that fall/winter is just around the corner .

Have a good day gals :flower3:. I'll check in after the game :upsidedow.

Deb :)

Hey Deb I guess wewere posting at just about the same time...:rotfl: Did you enjoy your get together with your friends...Nothing like a nice evening out:) BTW did the mean teacher ever apologize to your DS??

Channing Glad that you are in your vacation mode:thumbsup2 You girls will have a great time...Cant wait to see the outfits you got for them...I would love to be able to do that for DD...Teens...they will only choose for themselves.. (And some of the stuff DD likes :scared1: ) Enjoy the shopping for them while you can...It so nice...

Hey guys...Never just posted some great pics on the GF Faq. Also....what the heck happened with her cabana?? I wonder.........

Hope you're all having a nice Sunday...OMG...I cannot believe that about the 60 degrees later this week.....I am not in the Halloween or fall decorating mode or mood at all! I did buy a couple pumpkins that were calling out to me....and a few mini pumpkins but that's it. I haven't been getting out all my stuff... I think you're onto something Deb....that means winter is around the corner and I am dreading it. I am cold now! Today!!!:rotfl: :headache:

Here's one of the outfits I am having made for Jojo. The other I cannot steal a pic of. I will post it when it comes in the mail. It's denim capris trimmed with hot pink and black stuff and a black tee with a bling Minnie head on it.

Vanessa....I rarely bid ahead of time., I am one of those last minute bid sniper peeps. That's the ONLY way to win. You have to be there for the last 30 seconds and wait until the last 10 and get your bid in. I use two windows...I have my bid all ready, except the CONFIRM...and in the other window I have the listing up and keep refreshing and watching the seconds go down. I bid at the last 10 or less.....I usually win unless somebody already has an unreal top amt in. The bummer about that type of Ebaying is forgetting to bid!!! I have several things ending tonight in about 6 hrs...I better remember or I'll be sooo mad at myself!!!

I used the Buy it NOw on this baby and the other because they have to be made and mailed to me in time....

I have the MOST WONDERFUL hairbow lady. :wizard: If anybody needs custom hair bows or flip flops PM me. She is THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!! I am not kidding...and she is wicked nice with awesome customer service. She does hair, flip flops, and now she does these adorable bows to attach to tennies. She is also going to make some appliqued tees for my daughters.....I will let ya know!

Good afternoon. My house looks like an EXPLOSION went off. I am trying to get the fall/winter clothes out and put the summer away. What a crazy mess. I do not even know why I continue to buy more and more clothes because we do not have enough room for what we already have.

Channing~ I want to see photos of those bling outfits. The sound very cute.

I have been trying to buy some stuff off Ebay today and I continue to get outbid and the last second. Why is this happening? Do you put a max bid in that you want to pay and then your first bid. I am totally confused. I have bought stuff before for the kids but I was trying to buy myself some Hollister sweaters and this lady just kept outbidding me every second. Any advice? Most of you know I am as computer illiterate as they come.

Well back to the disaster. Good think dh is working. He would just die if he saw this place right now!

Vanessa Wish I could help with the Ebay question but I probably get the award for being computer illiterate...:rotfl: That sucks being about being out bid at the last moment....:headache:

I'm sure some of the other gals will have an answer for you..good luck:thumbsup2

Apples from Michigan are out of this world!!!! Off to make dinner early...Anyone watch Amazing Race??? It starts tonight!

~D:flower3:

OK....had to check in at half time :rotfl:. The Cboys aren't doing too good....down by 7 at the half :sad2:....they better straighten up and fly right or they'll be in trouble  :headache:. Anyhow......

Chan..........LOVE that outfit.......TOO ADORABLE :thumbsup2. How fun to have daughters ;). I love my boys to death and wouldn't trade 'em for the world, but it's just not the same shopping for boys as it is girls . Thanks for the heads up on the pics over on the FAQ thread....I'll have to head over there and check them out :rolleyes1.

Dawn.....I know BlueSkies requested that recipe but I'm going to have to try it as well :).....it sounds soooo yummy :goodvibes.

Vanessa......I agree with Chan....wait until the last 10 seconds or less to bid.......like she said...you're almost sure to get it unless someone has an outrageously high max bid in there :thumbsup2. I haven't been on Ebay in a long time....but I remember bidding being so stressful :headache:. A couple of years ago I was bidding on this Mickey/Minnie holiday platter and when I got outbid about 2 times I thought "ok...maybe it's not meant to be". Then I decided to bid again....and again....and again......THEN I started getting angry because the SAME PERSON kept outbidding me . So I kept bidding and won but paid WAY TOO MUCH for that darn platter because I got SO ANGRY by this person that I kept bidding way over what I said I'd stop at....but I just HAD to get that platter away from her (or him, I guess cuz you never know) :rotfl: :rotfl:........but I love the platter and laugh every Christmas I take it out to use because I think back to that bidding :lmao:. So watch out.....bidding on ebay can turn you into a crazy person :rotfl2: :rotfl2:.

BlueSkies.....DS should get his apology tomorrow....so we'll see . And yes, we had a great time last night with our friends...thanks for asking :). It is nice to do that once in awhile :goodvibes.

Gotta go......half time is over......until later......

Deb :)

Good evening! WOW, what a weekend! We got home at 2:30 and I picked up DS and we went to buy him some good tennis shoes for school. DH got him a pair but they were 4 sizes to big, LOL! :rotfl: Then as soon as we got the shoes I ran back and got the entire family for the kids AWANA club at church and then we finally got home at 7:30 and we slapped some turkey on some bread and ate then threw the kids in bed! I am glad this day is over. :woohoo:

DS starts K in the morning and I am a wreck. :scared1: I can not believe we are doing this and I am having second thoughts but I committed to doing it for a month, so we will see. :confused3 I am sure it will be fine but we still have no idea who his teacher is and that is kinda nerve racking for me.:sad2: I have never done this and I am feeling like such a dork, I am even panicked about not sending enough food in his lunch box.

Going to see my dad for the weekend has really exhausted me. It is amazing how tiring it can be siting in a hospital room all day watching old movies like Close Encounters and Dirty Harry! The staff hooked us up with three recliners for the room! :thumbsup2

My dad did have a scare this afternoon but all is well. We left at 11:30 and he was doing great. While I was shoe shopping my mom calls to let me know he was having chest pains and had shortness of breath and they were rushing him down to have a ct scan fearing he has more embolisms. They did not find any thing and then they did a EKG and said his heart was fine. They believe the pain was the clot breaking up and allowing oxygen to a part if his lung that had been deprived and when it re inflated it caused the pain. Thank goodness! :scared:

Ok I just realized I rambled on like a dork, but oh well! I am so glad to be home!

Wish me luck in the morning! I hope I can hold the tears back until I am back in my van! :sad1:

Dawn~ Thanks so much for the recipe! I'm looking foward to baking the muffins this week, I know everyone will love them (pumpkin and chocolate chips ..YUM):)

Mandy~ Good luck tomorrow getting DS off to school...That first day of school is never easy...

Oh well weekends over....

Have a great week everyone:flower3:

Hello Girls!!!:goodvibes
I am checking in, another crazy week over, just in time to begin all over again. I worked, so I don't feel like I got a weekend. It is 930 around here and everyone is passed out except me, so I have quiet time:cool1:

First, I love the Mcsteamy and Matthew pictures, those are both my type. I can't do the pirate man (sorry Kristin). Keep em coming....

Chan and Vanessa I was also ebaying this weekend. I am on the hunt for gymnastic leos for the girls and got some good deals. i love that feeling, but be careful (Vanessa), it can get addicting and then you end up paying more and buying more. Anyone sell on ebaby, I am thinking I need to get rid of some stuff around here and it would be a good way. Any tips???

Just an update, my daughter quit dance. There was no getting around it. She was adimant and did even tell the teacher herself. I still feel guilty, but I need her to be happy. The best thing about this gymnastics, is that[ she is sleeping so good now!!

Mandy Good luck tomorrow with your son. It is so hard to let go, but just think about how much fun he will have and maybe you can get more done at home:goodvibes

I need to start getting in the mood for our Jan trip, but I am having a hard time. I am feeling a bit guilty now taking kids out of school because they are busier and the economy just scares me. I watched the debate the other night before work and then saw clips from the Palin interview, and I really don't know which way to go. It is all rather scary. I actaully felt so embarrased for Palin, she is just digging herself into a bigger hole. Politics just sucks, and bailing out all these crooks on wallstreet is even worse!!! We are a small business owner and we have to fight to just stay alive. Sorry for the rant.....:confused3

Chan Before I forget, I love those outfits, I would not have been able to resist those. You are going to have a fab time with the girls and especially at Halloween. We are having a big halloween costume party, so i have to start getting in the fall mood. Anyone know where I can get some cute decorations out there????? I have not been shopping lately.

Also, the CUBS are the division winners, My son prays that they can actually make it a reality this year. He and my DH are diehard fans!!!:worship:
Have a great weeek everyone!!!! Evie

Morning Ladies :coffee:.

Mandy ~ Good luck with DS and his first day of school :teacher:. How exciting :). I know it's hard seeing them go off to school for the first time, but you'll do fine and he'll love it :wizard:.

Evie ~ I know how you feel about rethinking a trip :sad2:. We were actually supposed to be there right now but rescheduled a few months ago due to our oldest ds starting high school....we didn't want to pull him out for 6 days . But I wouldn't worry about taking your kids out of school....they are still young enough that it shouldn't be too bad. We pulled our two out at the end of September in 2006 (6th grade/7th grade) and then again in 2007 the same time (7th grade/8th grade) and it was fine ;). I got all their assignments ahead of time and they were all caught up by the time they returned to school :thumbsup2. But it does get harder as they get older and we worry more....but I say just keep planning and go and have a great time :yay:.

Have a good week gals :).

Deb :flower3:

Good Morning Everyone!!!

How was everyone's weekend? My boys went to the last game at Shea!!! They lost but they said the ceremony was really nice!!

Good Morning!!!
Back at the work computer again :)
I REALLY miss MY computer!!!! God I hope they fix it fast and get it back to me. 5 days and counting since he finally mailed it (but of course 2 were weekend.)

Mandy- I am so glad your dad is improving! Good Luck to DS on his first day of school. How exciting and scary all at the same time. Let us know how it goes.

Chan- Super cute outfit for Jojo. I used to love e-bay sniping...not nice, but true...it's fun! :)

Dawn- You are evil! Pumpkin and chocolate...all in one recipe?!?!? I am drooling. There goes my diet this week...I'll let you know how yummy they are :) (My fav pie is pumpkin, my fav muffin is pumpkin...add chocolate and I am in heaven! :) )

Okay....I need all you annual passholders to help me out here :thumbsup2. The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning toward buying APs in July since we are looking at 3 trips between July 2009 and June 2010 :). I was reading on allears and got a little confused . Does your year start as soon as you purchase the AP or when you first use it? I thought it used to be it started as soon as you bought it and they changed it to be effective upon first use.....but reading on allears it doesn't sound that way....but maybe I'm missing something :confused3. Also.......if we bought the DDE card.....is it good for everyone in our party (up to 10 people per allears) even if some of those people don't have APs? Or does everyone on the check have to have a DDE card? Sorry for all the questions, but I thought I'd get more info from you AP gals than posting a new thread on another forum :rolleyes1.

Wishes.....glad your boys had a great time at the game :goodvibes. The only bad thing about our weekend is that it was too short :rotfl:.

Deb

Hi all!

It looks like rain any second and that is REALLY not helping ot motivate me to go work out :rotfl:

Mandy- I am glad your Dad is doing better!! :wizard: That he continues on the up and up! Let us know how DS does today!!!!

Chan- I am glad you decided on the trip. 5 days is better than none, right? Is Jo feeling better yet? (With the impending rain I hope soccer gets rained out tonight here too!)

The Sox play their make up game today to decide if a playoff is needed between us and the Twins tomorrow (at our field, though, thank goodness!) I am not sure I can take anymore of this!!! :rotfl2: We were at Friday's game, which was PAINFUL to watch. But DH caught a foul ball so he was happy about that. Today's game is a make up for tickets we had a couple of weeks ago so I think DH and a couple of the guys from work are going to try to go...

Deb- Re: the AP questions, I am no expert but here is what I do know. The AP's expire one year from activation, not the day you buy them. Not everyone needs an AP to use the DDE, ditto for room discounts (1 adult AP per room). You can also get the DDP with the AP now, whether they issue a AP room discount or not. We are already booked with the AP plus DxDDP next November, and obviously it is WAY too ealy to know if there will be a discounted rate or not. HTH.

Have a great day all!
Kristin

Chan - cute outfit!

Mickeynut - if you buy it online, it won't start til you actually trade in the voucher at guest services. If you purchase it at guest services in person, it will start that day. Make sure you and your DH bring your drivers licenses to guest services. Renewals keep the same start date every year. Hope that makes sense.
We are DVC members so I purchase the passes online, get a voucher, turn it in at Guest services for the real AP and it starts that day.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong for regular APs, but it used to be done that way!

Morning~ Well my outgoing child freaked on me this morning. He said he did not know i was going to leave him and thought we were just gonna look at his class again and go back home. HE boo hoo'd on me big time and tried to run out the door when I left. I am felling so bad right now. :sad1: I hope he has a good day but he totally melted down. On his first day of preschool he bounded into class and never looked back. My friend told me tomorrow would be harder because he will think he does not have to go back. If he freaks on my MIL she will not hold it together like I did. NOW the day is creeping by and I feel like 3 will never get here!
