Which Epcot resort is Maxie staying at, Blue? So, she's gone over to the "dark side", huh??:rotfl2:

And speaking of Cinderumbrella, wonder how she's doing??:confused3

Yes that Maxie she is loving the "darkside" ...:rotfl: As for Cinderumbrella she is well..and planning her next Disney trip...LOL...which is no surprise...!

Just 10 days until celebrating our 5 year anniversary at the Grand Floridian! This time we got MK Castle View!!! Beyond excited:cool1:

:woohoo: What a beautiful view! Enjoy and Happy Anniversary! :lovestruc

It took me years to even post here. Then 2 more to figure out how to ticker, bold and color.

My multi quote for Blue kept coming out wrong but I finally figured it out.

With dd gone I have more time to play with this stuff. She will be home this weekend and my house will be a mess but who cares? I'll clean it Monday.

I am watching for January rates: here are our wishes for our Mom n me portion after guys leave.(don't really want to stay AOA after VGF:rolleyes:)

1. GF RPC

2. CR MKV atrium

3. Poly CL GV

4. either GF Sl or CR LV atrium.

5 WL Club or CR MKV

It is a lot of money but with annual passes paid for and I have miles for airfare I am only buying rooms this time. I keep thinking about when I won't have a girl to travel with anymore:sad1::sad:

Looks like you have plenty of good choices for the mother daughter portion of your trip! I think that having annual passes justifies serveral diseny trips per year! Disney logic and Disney math! :wizard: ;) Enjoy!

MickeyNut Whatcha up to today?? No Dis time???.... LOL..

Hey everyone! Just had to pop in and say that since kac mentioned my pics and the SL CL deluxe rooms, I had to post.
The balconies are on the second and third floors along with the now non pullout sofas. The fourth floor room layout is like a sitting room with two extra chairs.

HTH.

Thanks for the easy instructions, mickeynut. I'll play around and see if I can make it work.

Not a problem.....ask away with any questions you might have :goodvibes.

It was easy to multi quote someone unless they had multi-quoted. That's where I get lost:rolleyes2

I've had trouble with that too.....sometimes I got so confused I either didn't post at all or just posted to individuals rather than quote them :rotfl::rotfl:.

Yippee!! It's FINALLY here! On Saturday Morning we check in at the GF. Feels like I've waited an eternity for this trip. lol

Have a great time :yay:.

MickeyNut You super multiquoter you!! :goodvibes It took me the longest time to figure how to do that...

LOL......it took me forever to learn how to multi-quote too.......now it's hard not to :rotfl::rotfl:.

Nothing new....just busy as usual.....lol. My evenings and weekends are usually my Dis time, with a few days thrown in here and there ;).

Hi Lulu'sMom :wave2:.....hope things are well with you :flower3:.

Hi

I've never stayed at GF before. Last year we had a great view of the castle and the electric water pageant from the Poly but with all the construction planned i have booked at the GF TPV.

Does anyone know if there is a room or building that will give views of both the castle and the electric water pageant?

Thanks

Boca Chica comes to mind, but I'm not sure which part of the building offers the best castle views. I'm thinking it would have to be toward the MK end, but others on here can probably give a more definitive answer.

 Hi Lulu'sMom thanks for that additional info on the deluxe/aka lodge tower rooms..I bet that 4th floor sitting area looks real nice with the extra chair...

As grannieminnnie said there are some nice TPV views from Boca Chica...a friend had room 8411 there a few years back and I rememeber what a pretty view she had...

But I think the best views of both the castle and the EWP are probably from Conch Key... Sago also has TPV rooms but I am not sure how well you can see the EWP from those rooms...maybe some else who has stayed in that building has some better info on that...

We leave a month from today and I have massive butterflies now!:rotfl::rotfl:

:dance3: Congratualtions!!! Hope that the time flies..just until the vacation!

MickeyNut I'm not sure if thats enough Dis time :chat:!! LOL..;)

k&a&c'smom Are you posting about now!!!?? :rotfl:

Hi to all my fellow GF fans...Have a GRAND Tuesday! :cloud9:

We have stayed in Boca Chica dormer room, Lagoon side at the Polynesian Resort end. We didn't have much of a clear view due to the trees in line with the MK. So, I would try the other end. ;)

just wanted to say hello to everyone! i keep reading and i keep trying so hard to get back into this thread but instead i am just hating the fact that we don't have another trip planned.

a few days before my trip i found out that my hours were most likely going to be cut at work by about 75%. while on my trip i got some news that looked like that might not be the case. then right after i returned i found that for sure, they were cut by about that much. :( it's a much longer story than that but it's been a roller coaster. anyway.... with my hours being cut so drastically i can't even think about planning a trip. i need to spend a few months getting a handle of what our finances even are now, before i know what we're dealing with. so.... i keep opening this thread excitedly and then get so bummed out because it just reminds me of how much everything (as in my whole life!) is so up in the air. i know we will be back to disney within a year or so, no matter what (that is a priority to me and i will make it work), but the details are very unknown, which stinks. first world problem, i know. :scared1:

i'm hoping that "outing myself" for the reason why i haven't been posting may help me start posting more, lol! :surfweb:

Thank you for the suggestion. Looking at the layout map conch key seems a good bet too. Although there is no guarantee i will get the view im after anyway.

Last year my youngest daughter was sometimes so tired by the end of the day it was nice for her to see the fireworks and EWP just before bedtime.:rolleyes1

You know we all understand, bethclayton. :flower3:
Unfortunately, it's an all too familiar scenario in today's world..:sad2:
And hopefully, just being on here chatting will help to cheer you up. :)

Hi to all my fellow GF fans...Have a GRAND Tuesday! :cloud9:

You know, I thought of Conch Key, Blue, but didn't think the EWP was as easily viewed straight-on from there, in my memory. (I can recall that we could watch it coming out of it's storage area on it's way to the Poly, but before the show began.)

bethclayton - So sorry to hear about your hours being cut. Many years back, we had our trip paid for and DH came home and told me that he got laid off. That was the worst.

Lulu'sMom - Hi.:wave2:

Hi to all my friends on this thread. I hope you all have a great day!

:goodvibes did you get magicbands? I would keep looking. According to the boards they are adding resorts at odd times.

:cheer2::cheer2: YES we got the magic bands! I can not believe our luck! A whole week at GF AND magic bands!! We are doing a split stay so will be able to take our magic bands along for the November part of our trip as well at Port Orleans:rotfl2: It just gets better and better!

Now IF I can get the perfect photo with the 7 dwarves and a reservation at CRT then my life will be complete!

It's hard economic times these days. I just found out I'm laid off as of Friday, and we leave for our paid GF SL trip on Friday. Nice vacay huh? On the positive side, I HATED my boss, so it will be wonderful to get away from all that mess. Guess I'll be job hunting when we get back from WDW.

We're getting Magic Bands for our October stay at VGF. So excited!

Beth Clayton, hugs. I hope everything works out for the best in the end.

k&a&c'smom, thanks for posting my photos and thanks to all for the nice comments. We had a great breakfast at the Cafe that morning. Also enjoyed our traditional lunch there during our short stay at WDW before our Fantasy cruise.

We've stayed in Conch Key two or three times and always had a great view of the EWP. It sort of circles around Narcoossee's a bit IIRC but it is far enough out that we could see the entire thing.

I know many are worried about the impact of the villas on the pools but those of us who are old timers remember when there was just the courtyard pool. I think it will be fine. And there are only 140ish units. It will make an impact I'm sure but spreading those guests over the entire day for both pools and the monorail will diminish any impact I think. We'll know soon! Last week after our cruise, my DS1 and his wife drove us by the villas on our way to lunch at Seasons 52. Fun to see lights on in the villas now. Just can't wait to stay there.

Hi to all!:wave2:

Hugs to you, too. Hope your next boss is much, much better.

I've been out of town for a couple days, missed a lot. I skimmed the last couple pages, hope I didn't miss anyone's send off.

BCV23 - So good to see you! Glad you enjoyed the cruise, and your time in the World.:wizard:

Thanks for the pep talk, reminding us of all the changes over the years does help.:teeth: I know it will all be fine in the end. Hard for me to accept change, as you know.;)

Lulu's Mom - hey, good to hear from you!:wave2: Thanks for the added info on the SL deluxe rooms. The area with the 2 chairs sounds nice, but I think my personal preference would be the sofa, since there is no daybed.:scratchin

I see you are heading to RPC tomorrow!:cool1::cool1: Have a magical, Grand vacation.

Oh, Beth, I'm so sorry!! Big hugs to you, what a stressful time for you. I know what you mean regarding the thread, it's hard to visit and enjoy, knowing you don't have a trip to plan - but for most of us, it doesn't also involve job loss. Best wishes for the coming months, I hope you are able to resolve everything in the best possible way. (better hours, different job, whatever)

I'm so sorry to hear of your lay off, what a nasty surprise. Great good luck in quickly finding something better, and enjoy your vacation. Try to leave the stress behind and focus on your family.:grouphug: Here's wishing for some extra pixie dust.pixiedust:
