Not paranormal noises, or objects moving - I'm talking a FULL BODY apparition.

Have you seen one? Where? When? Were you sober? :)

I've seen an apparition, more of a dark, shadowy figure, than a "full body" - but I'd like to hear of someone who has seen the real deal. :thumbsup2

You have??? (insert scary smilie here) Were you sober???!!!

I haven't had anything paranormal happen to me. I'd be callng Grant and Jason and the TAPS team right away if I did! ;)

So....did you know your apparition or was it a random haunting? Was it the "shadow people" that TAPS refers to at times?

I woke up once to see a little old man bending over our bed looking at my DH. I swear I wasn't asleep. I wasn't afraid either. Probably because I'd figured he get the hubby first. :teeth:

I apologize for my ex husbands behavior ;)

Not sure on this one OP. I have a memory quite young of playing at the swings and talking to a nice old man, till this day my family swears it wasn't her. Go forward a couple of years and we were at one of my Aunts going through photo albums and I pointed to the one picture and said that was the man that pushed me on the swings, turns it was my Dads Mom that passed away before I was born. :confused3

I saw a little girl about 3 with blond curly hair and dressed in white nitegown. She lived in one of our houses.

When I was 15 almost 16 I woke up and saw a black body figure walking through my bedroom. I sat up and it turned to me (like it was looking at me). Then I layed down slowly and it walked over to me and touched me. I know it touched me because my body started feeling all tingley like my whole body fell asleep. After that I think I passed out because I remember waking back up and it was gone. I swear I almost peed the bed!!!

When I was a little girl I was sleeping at my aunt's house in the basement.

A little boy came to me in the middle of the night and told me to go sleep with my parents. He was a small, full bodied boy, about 6 years old.

I did and did not think much of the little boy as I was at my aunt's house who I did not know that well.

BUT, that night, there was a fire in the basement.

That is my one and only apparition and I still wonder today if I imagined it.

I would say that the apparition I saw was probably one of those "shadow people". I was totally sober and wide awake too. ;)

I wanted, so bad, to wake up DH, but instead, I just laid there and watched for it to come back. I thought, maybe, it was a shadow from a car driving by or something, so I waited for another car to go by and see if the same thing happened. It didn't. Now, every night, I look for it.

It doesn't surprise me, as paranormal activity has happened in my parents' house before.

When I was a young teen I was hiking in the deep woods on a marked trail with someone (also my age) when we heard a growling noise. We turned, expecting to see some sort of animal but saw nothing except the tall grass being pushed down by unseen human sized footprints and small saplings being pushed aside. The growling grew louder and all this was coming directly at us. Needless to say we did not stick around and I think we broke some sort of speed record, flying over small boulders like deer. We finally hit the dirt road and walked back to our camp. We never told an adult what happened and never spoke about it between ourselves. To this day, just remembering it makes me shiver (watching the invisible monster on the TV show "Lost" didn't help and actually brought it all back, I hadn't thought about it in years). I don't have a clue what it was, but I wasn't alone, so I know I didn't imagine it. There is stuff out there we just can't logically explain.

Whoa! That's a cool story. :smooth:

I never saw one, but I'm a fan of Ghost Hunters and the TAPS team. I've always had a curiosity about these things and fully intend to be a ghost when it's my turn. :)

Yes, I have. When I was in elementary school, our school was on a civil war ground. I was looking out the window one day waiting for recess and saw a young man dressed in full war garb. He was kind of see through, but I could make out facial features and details. It's something I'll never forget...I wasn't scared though. Just fascinated.

Although it scared the bejesus out of me at the time, I don't know what my reaction would be now, but of course I've never seen anything since!

This sounds like it was an angel to me.

When I was in my mid teens, I was at my sisters apartment spending the night with her and we were up late just talking (no liquor or anything involved) and we starting talking about our sister who had died of Leukemia when we were young. Both of us admitted that we had always felt that we had an Angel that looked over our shoulder for us....

Lo and behold, her hanging plant...yeah, these were the macrame days....started to swing wildly...first thing we did was yell "Earthquake" and scramble to the door jams....but nothing else was moving and it went on for several minutes!...the speed was changing...slow then fast then erratic etc...

Years later we have never explained it other to say that our sister was visiting us!

P.S. She had no upstairs neighbors...so it wasn't them shaking the building....

I guess I did! It was on the day my dad died.....

He died in the morning, and after I finished making funeral arrangements, etc., when I got home I stopped out in the barn to get something out of the motorhome. I was sitting on the couch there, and looked out the window and there he was, looking in at me! BUT he had brown hair and looked like he was about 30 years old (he was 77 when he died, with silver hair). He was smiling and so happy and just shook his head up and down like "Yes, this is great, and I am soooo happy". Then he was gone, and I was crying like a baby.

I knew there was no way he could be outside there, but it was so real and brought me a great sense of peace. It still affects me today (boohoo :lovestruc ) - I like to think that he meant he was in heaven and all was well :cloud9:

We watch Ghosthunters all the time and my kids keep telling me to call the TAPS team cause we have all kinds of freaky things happening in our house. My oldest daughter swears she saw a little girl dressed in white in her room (she was in second grade at the time) My youngest wouldn't sleep in a room by herself when she was younger because of the little boy in the hallway that looked at her. (she was only 2 or 3 so I have no idea what she really saw or thinks she saw) now (she is 13) she will tell me it was because of the shadows she saw in the room, (and this is the same room my oldest daughter moved in to and saw the little girl.)

2 times this year my attic window has come out. It is a half circle window held in place by latches and 2 bent nails. The first time I went up and it was laying on the floor, latches were still in the locked postion, the second time it was laying on top of boxes off to the side, latches still in locked postion. The kids will not go up there, so I know they didn't do it.

The same day as the first incident with the window I was getting ready for work and I hear my answering machine pick up and then static. My ohone never rang! I go look at it and it shows 3 calls...no numbers in the caller ID though. All 3 calls were 1 minute apart and all were static. (I deleted those really fast!)

Last night I was doing homework on the laptop and watching TV in the living room, no one else was in the room with me and the remote was not even close to me and the TV just shut off. The picture went dark so at first I thought the cable went out...but my internet still worked and then I realized the green light was off on the TV. I got the remote and turned it back on. I said outloud, "If someone is here and just turned off my TV, do it again so I know you are with me" it never shut off again, I'm not sure what I would have done if it did shut off though...probably pass out from fright.

Wow... I have the chills!!! Sylvia Brown always said that when we pass, we are all around 30 years old on the other side
