Lindamary123 Welcome. I hope you enjoy your CL stay next June. I am sure that your DH will just love it. There are lots of great ideas on this board to make your trip extra special. Also, use the IPO staff to help out with all of your arrangements. Good luck.

BT Yeah, training for Jan. 9th. I am running with a friend and we aren't even bringing our families. Just a quick trip in and out. No time to stay at the world. That's okay, going back in the spring. Tell your DH good luck and you concentrate on staying healthy.

Anyway, have to get the boys off to school. I have left out those wonderful Krispy Kremes. Enjoy!

I feel so bad not taking her, but we just couldn't accomodate everyones schedule. She did get to go last year with all her girlfriends though.

Definitely look for us after your breakfast. That's our quiet day because we're doing MVMCP that night. I didn't want to over do it and have DD8 falling asleep at 8pm. We're hoping to hang out by the pool (weather permitting). The Pats are playing at 1pm and we might go over to the ESPN club to watch. DH and I did this for one of the wildcard games last year and it was a lot of fun.

Well, we're back from the Florida sunshine into the dreary Ohio weather. had a great time. Many surprises and extra pixie dust. What a great place to spend your birthday. Yes, wear the button. Got the call from Goofy and lots of happy birthday's all day--and a cupcake for lunch at the castle. And yes, Cindy was in the lobby!

Trip was too quick and didn't spend enough time enjoying the resorts. Wilderness Lodge--loved the lobby and outer areas, didn't love the rooms. Had a woods view on lobby floor by the bus stop. Only two nights so no big deal. I didn't go in with the best attitude, but this is not the resort for me. AKL all the way. Thought it would be easier at a MK resort, but the busses were awful! Took over an hour and 15 minutes to get to DTD! A very nice valet who we asked for a cab on my bday am to get to ohana's (knew we'd never make it with WL transportation). No cabs so he drove us over to the Poly himself--now that's great service!

Checked into CR 12th floor on Sat. VERY nice CM who checked us in. Had note to call Renee (our planner) and she wanted to personally welcome us and wish me Happy birthday--nice touch. Room not quite ready (11:30 am) so we went to Epcot. Back to drop kids for Party for the Senses and snacks were left in room. Also, balloons and birthday card from Mickey. Great view--room 4831. Could lay in bed and see castle perfectly. Only complaint was faint smell of smoke (more noticable for my pregnant nose!) Loved our view and it was for 1 night so we stayed put. Party for the Senses was INCREDIBLE!! If you have a chance, go. I will try to post menu soon. It was a wonderful evening out. We high tailed it back to the room for wishes of course. Next morning went down to transfer to our cheapie standard room for the last night and was sprinkled with pixie dust as she told me to just stay put, they had availability! Hubby liked the room even better at our $138! Loved our room, but can't wait for 14th floor for our last night in Dec. I really like having a full concierge and lounge area. We'd probably just do tower next time, although the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Alright, enough of the trip report (too much excitement from trying two new resorts!)

just a quick "hello" from the Poly while DH is napping in preparation for MNSSHP. Everything is terrific so far, not a snag or bump or hint of service that is less than magical. Missed meeting KerryCM literally by minutes yesterday. Did meet BCV23 in the hallway right outside my door. She asked if I was Donna and I felt just like a celebrity! I will post pictures tomorrow of me wearing my birthday pin and winning my bet with DH!

Goofyjoofy--I ordered the Mickey ghost bags from feralpeg a fellow disser. I can't remember which board I found her on but her prices were much more reasonable than Disney florist. I just asked her if she does personalized Christmas stockings for our Dec visit and she said she will be posting pix of them after her Halloween rush dies down. I figure they've got to be cheaper than the $59 ones from Disney florist. Especially since I saw the stockings at DTD and they were only $18! Now if I could just get her to do a version of the Mousketree.....

I hate to be a downer, but I woke up this morning and 6:30, right before I left, I saw this story on the Detroit area news station that I watch in the morning http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/3834739/detail.html

My first thoughts were... Oh that looks like CHuckie's bike, I hope that it isn't one of his friends. It was Chuckie (Natalie's ex boyfriend as of a month ago, but was her BF for three years) The girl that died was a friend of Natalie's (small town) and very popular at the HS as well as being very involved in extra curr. activities. Natalie is a mess, and I won't let her drive her car. She's been up to the hospital to see him (another friend drove her), and he has more bones broken that not, but he will recover. I feel so bad for the girl's parents, I don't even know where to begin. Please just send PD and prayers our way for the next few days. This is a one HS town and a very small community and you can already feel the hush and sadness blanketing the area.

#1Hockeymom-Prayers and PD for the tragic events that occurred to your DD friends. What a terrible thing to happen to people so young. Difficult to understand, isn't it.
Thank You for all of your prayers and PD for my dear friend. She remains in critical condition-I went out to Pennsylvania to visit her. It was very difficult. She remains unaware of anything that has even happened to her, which is even more difficult due to her situation. I'm trying to deal with going on vacation-which feel almost terrible to me.
Trying to pack, but my heart is just not in it. I know that she would want me to go-she will remain in the surgical ICU until even after I return home.
Hope all of you had a great Disney trip, and steveanddonna-I'm glad you achieved Celebrity status-See you Saturday. I'll be the one with swollen,crying eyes.

Oh, Debbie, how awful! I'm so very sorry. Our family will be keeping you all in our prayers, particularly Natalie, and her friend's parents.

Samnbilly, I'm still praying for your friend. You said this was an induced coma, right? So they're trying to let her body concentrate on healing, and we will certainly be praying that that comes as quickly and fully as possible.

Donna, it's wonderful to hear you having things go so smoothly!

Lisa, welcome home! The pictures are wonderful; I'm sorry the night shots gave you some trouble, but still a lot of terrific shots.
I was really sorry to hear that the WL rooms didn't do it for you; looking at the pics, I had to agree, they looked pretty ordinary. I expected it to look more "lodgey" in there, more themed. I wonder if DH would be as keen to go if I showed him those pics? That's his dream resort.

Was it my imagination, or did Minnie Mouse look pregnant at the Liberty Tree Tavern?

Hello Everyone! I am just home from a wonderful stay at my second home, the BWI! Our room was ready when we arrived at noon and was just perfect. Jackie, Robin and Scott were fantastic as always and Laura has becomne a new friend also. Will tell more later.

k&a&c'smom Thank you for my great surprise! I loved the cookies. Madyson loved the Piglet one. She wouldn't bite it, just kept giving it a hug. We brought it home!!
