Mmausse WOW that was a horrible experience. I hope you are feeling better. I would imagine your therapist has marked your allergy’s on your medical record. IT SHOULD have already been on there. Thank goodness you came through it all.

Thank you for your kind words Angel. My allergy actually was listed on my chart and my PT is an excellent therapist and a good friend. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, one of the assistant's grabbed the ampule and popped it open before my PT realized what had she had then done. The tech was unaware that ammonia is 65% alcohol. Most people don't realize how prevalent alcohol is in every day products.

But I'm doing better now. I see my ortho doc on Monday - I'm supposed to start the "Synvisc" (sp?) shots then. I know they hurt but I'm hoping they'll grant me some relief.

Until then, I am living vicariously through all of you and your wonderful trip reports.

Thank you all for your concern. This is a wonderful place. And as I do not believe in coincidences (i.e. everything happens for a specific reason), I know that there is a reason why we are all becoming fast friends. And, although, it would be "flip" to say it is because we have the same addiction in the "Mouse", that may be enough in the beginning but look at how we have connected on so many different levels.

Ok, meds are taking hold. Time to enjoy the insides of my eyelids.
Night all

Well, we have only 68 days until we arrive at "THE WORLD"...our PS have all been made, our fireworks cruise, DiveQuest, Segway Tour, tee times, La Nouba...everything confirmed. I've made our itineraries...am working on Itinerary Folders (I decorate them much like scap book pages). Our son has designed the logos for our family shirts and is making the iron on patches.

Here's the problem........

WHAT DO I DO FOR THE NEXT 68 DAYS?

I can't stand it. Are there any new guidebooks to read? Any new Disney sites to explore? Can I just call Mark and ask how things are at the CL at WL?

The pain of it all.......

WELCOME, GoofySuse! You are definitely one of us! What to do for the next 68 days? Visit the Lizard Lounge, of course! How about decorating a blank book to use as a trip journal? I'm doing this for my MIL who, along with FIL, will be joining us on our Oct. trip. Make some little appreciation cards to hand out to CMs who "go the extra smile" to put some magic in your day. Go back through this thread and look at the photos posted on various sites by the rest of the Lizards. Plan a gift basket to surprise your family. Or, you could always finish my planning for me! I'm still waiting for DH to choose between 3 tentative itineraries for the time his parents will be joining us.

mmausse hope the Synvisc works as well for you as it did for our neighbor - she has had wonderful results, and no side effects as she had with steroid injections. Prayers and PD for you and your poor knees!

mmausse - What a harrowing experience for you - so glad it came out all right!!::yes:: I hope this new treatment does the trick, and you find some relief!

BT - Any of the weeks you mentioned should be fine for me, DD is out of school during that time, and she doesn't head back until late Aug. If you think I could take a trip to WDW without her, think again! She's very wily!!;) Who else wants to join us for the summer meet?!:listen:

I am so looking forward to staying at the BW Innkeeper's Club! We have stayed at the Swan CL, POLY in Tonga w/ CL and the BC CL, so this is our first BWI CL experience! But, we too, love CL and how wonderful everyone is from IPO to CL CM's!

You are correct when you say it is hard to stay anywhere else w/out CL!

Thanks again for your good info. regarding the BWI CL!

I talked with Andrea at AKL a few weeks ago and gave her the dates we could go on an Illuminations Cruise and a Wishes Cruise. The 90 day window for 1/2 of my days have passed and I have not heard from anyone. I'm getting nervous. I read somewhere that our time at WDW is during the Mousefest. When should I hear something? Should I call? Thanks lovely lounge ladies!

Melissa

So sorry. DH just came home and gave me a copy of the e-mail with BOTH cruises on it! He had gotten the e-mail at work and moves it somewhere. ( I am tech challanged I don't know where) Everytime I looked todey, I just looked in the regular place. Thanks everyone and thanks to Andrea. I am sooooooooo excited!

Perhaps the third week of July, end of July, first week of August?
Whenever I can get the Royal Kuba or Assante Suite booked?:hyper:

A few days before our summer trip, our DS10 was fantasizing about his anticipated "favorite park" (AK) and said he thought the most awesome thing would be to wake up and see a girafffe out his window. This was before he even knew there was such a place as AKL!

Then in August as we walked through the lobby of AKL after a wonderful AK park day, our DD11 said, "Now this is a FANCY hotel!" They both just loved AKL and BOMA. And we did too.

So... we've added AKL to our resort-hopping list for the summer of 2005. It's hard to imagine our schedules will sync up enough for a Lizard meet but you never know! :)

We don't have our school calendar for next year so the last week of June through the first week of August is safe for me. After July 5th is value season so how about the last three weeks in July? (not the entire three weeks! LMAO you know what I mean!)

It is going to be so hard not to try to rebook myself into AKL if I visit during the first day of our "value fifth trip"! I think I am going to have to "visit" during our last day of our trip so I am not tempted! You definitely have picked a wonderful hotel to add to your 2005 list! I was just telling our server this morning at our little local diner that I still haven't found a way to live full time at AKL but I am working on it!

I hope that many of us are able to make it for the AKL meet! I know we had a lot of fun during our sorority sister Swan/Dolphin rush week!

This is our first trip to WDW in four years, and there's an eeeensy wweeensy possibility of a trip in May with my mom and the girls...I would love to be there again for a meet, but I'm doubting it! Still, I'll eavesdrop on the possibilities.

Off to work for yet another midnight shift...yawn.

Kris

OK, you know I LOVE that suite! I actually looked into one but all they have is the Royal Kuba for our time. Maybe next trip.

I will look into May for the Lizard meet--summer will probably work better for me though. Thank you all so much for the invite!

Oh, DH surprised us and took a red eye back last night. He knew how worried I was about travel today. What a nice surprise. Of course, I got to surprise him with the news of 14th floor CR for our last night. Somehow, he's just not as excited as I am. That's ok, he indulges me and the boys faces will be priceless!

Everyone enjoy the rest of your weekend!:sunny:

Good Morning!
I am trying to finish the last of our plans for our Dec visit. Do you need PS for Boma? The first night we are there I was wanting to visit the other resorts to see the Christmas decorations and do not know what time to get PS. Such hard Choices!!!!
Any suggestions please share.

Thanks!!

nrsldy>> I'm awful about getting PSs early unless it is for something really major. I tend to decide that day, sometimes only an hour before on where we will be eating. That is another thing I LOVE about staying concierge! They don't make that many PSs for me early, but I am in "the chair" every day. If you are staying concierge I wouldn't worry as much about getting a PS for Boma unless it is for a big group, or a very crowded day.

lindeyspol>>I bet you are totally relieved with your DH being home! On suites>> I can't remember if you are going over Christmas, but wouldn't it be awesome to wake up in the Royal Kuba suite on Christmas Day? Ok, I am dreaming way out of reality! :) One thing I loved about our suite's location was that I could hear the music drift up from the pool area on the living room/king room side. I am getting very attached to that music style as it seems to automatically put me in "calm" mode. Even DH, who doesn't love AKL as his family does, seems to be moving towards that music style.

Breakfast items are out on the sideboard. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Debbie

I always get PS, for everything...the worst that could happen is that we change our minds (which hasn't happened yet since we plan our itinerary around the restaurants we want to visit....we're in Idaho and live in a world devoid of good eateries...).

Hey experts. What about ps for the princess breakfasts?? Does the cl have problems making sure these get made?? Do I need to try to take care of these myself? We are going to do both this time. I lucked out in June and got CRT but dd really wants to attend PSB and CRT this time...any opinion would be great! Thanks!::yes::

For the princess breakfasts I would cover all of the bases and ask IPO to get them, and try to get them myself. Depending on the time of year, remember sometimes just a walk up will get you into the castle! This happened last January when, on a whim, we decided about 10am to see if we could get in. We expected to be turned away but were immediately seated right next to the window at a table for two! What a glorious way to start our morning after collecting about 20 autographs at the entrance!

Well Lounge Lizards, I struck out with the Illuminations cruise during our stay. Amy at the YC just sent me an e-mail stating that the pontoon boats would be down for rehab. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes. She said that Wishes was available, but we'll be seeing it during MVMCP anyway. I really wanted something that incorporated Illuminations. It's my DH's favorite and that's the only night that we'd be available to see it. There's only 4 of us, so I would think a dessert party would be out of the question. Any ideas that I might be missing??

Thanks,
Tammi

Sorry to hear that, Tammy! I would keep on trying as you know people change their minds all of the time. I will send extra PD your way for those reservations!

Actually, I don't think anyone got the Illuminations cruise for that time because of the rehab. Amy even stated that the Breathless is not available from 11/1 until 12/31. She's going to keep an eye out to see if any of them get back on-line sooner than expected.

Tammi

If you are staying on concierge ask the Itinerary Planners to make ressies for you. You will need them, but one of the glories of concierge is not having to wake up with the chickens to make your PS....
