Has anyone ever walked from Epcot (International Gateway) to Hollywood Studios? Is it even possible? And how long does it take?

Absolutely! It's a 20-30 minute walk, depending on your pace, and can get you there faster than the boats if there's a boat just leaving as you get to the IG dock or there's no boat in sight.

From the IG, follow the path over the bridge to BWI. You can walk along BWI toward the S/D, then hang a left on the path to DHS. Or you can shorten the walk by cutting under BWI through the walkway to the main pool area, and catching the path on the other side of the pool. The path takes you along the lagoon, under a main road and deposits you by the DHS parking lot.

There is a path. I've walked it many times. How long it takes depends on how fast you walk, but I think the consensus on the DIS is about 20-25 minutes. (The boat takes about the same amount of time due to all the stops.)

We love the walk, but not many people do! You can cut through the BW to cut off a bit of the time.

Done it many times. The time estimates above match what I've experienced. I enjoy the walk, but DW on the other hand would rather wait for the boat :)

If you go the full route (without the shortcut), it's slightly over a mile, I think around a 1 1/8 mi., from park gate to park gate.

If a Friendship boat is there when leaving Epcot hop on and exit at BW and then walk the rest of the way. It is the first stop. What takes so long on the boat are the stops at Beach and Yacht and Swan and Dolphin.

Once you get to the Boardwalk here is a short cut you can take that will save you a couple of minutes. Instead of walking straight down the Boardwalk turn to your left where you see the Wyland Galleries store, then walk past the health club and arcade. Once you have done that you will see the Luna Park pool area and a sign which says walkway to Hollywood Studios.

I've done the walk probably 100 times, however this time of year I'm more likely to wait for the boat,it's just too hot to walk any more than you have to.When the weather cools off it's a beautiful walk.

There is more than a 'path' to DHS from Epcot...it's a nice, wide, well lit sidewalk. Yes, you can take the boat. BUT....if you leave the Gateway at the same time as the boat, and walk at a normal pace, you will beat the boat by about 8 mins. How do I know??? Been there, done that. We traded friendly insults with the boat CMs, telling them we would beat them to DHS...they said nope, just wait for the next boat and off they went. Well....we reached BW about 20 secs after then did....that was the last we saw of that boat until we got to DHS...we were headed to the bag check line as the boat came around the bend!

If you are walking from Epcot....head out, and then up the incline. When you get to the top, go left and over the bridge. You are now on BW property. When you get to the boatdock area, go to the right, just before you get to the Screen Door shop (just past the surry bike rentals). You will have the village green on your left now. When you get to Wyland Galleries (which you can see from the boat docks), turn right and go through the tunnel. You come out at the pool area. Cross there, over to the left behind Leaping Horse Libations, and then out to the sidewalk. Go left and you're back on track to DHS. This short cut saves about 5 mins walking.

It should take you about 20 mins to walk from the Intl Gateway to DHS.

It takes us around an hour...but that's because we stop at the pool bar at the BWV and have a margarita mid-way.....LOL

It takes about 30 minutes at a comfortable pace.....for the times when we don't stop at the pool bar.

You're welcome. And to finish things off here's a map of the path courtest of Robo:
