Hi all ~ Has anyone named their pet after a Disney Character?

We have had:

Mickey & Minnie the Hampsters
Daisy the Budgie Bird
Chip & Dale the Hampsters

We currently have a cat named Chip and a foster dog named Belle.

How about you all?

Blessings, Sandra

we have had two dalmatians . Our first one was Jasmine Rajha. She was a beautiful animal.
Our new baby is two years old and a dalmatian. her name is Megara Athena. They were on Hercules. We call her Meggie for short. SHe too is a beautiful animal like her namesake.

Meet the girls! My flock of chickens- Snow White, Merriweather, Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Flora, Tinkerbell, Wendy and finally, the formally known as Mulan is now Mushu (dang, I thought that hen had a funny voice! When "she" started crowing, I finally realized "he" was a rooster!).

Cleo

Yeah I know Cleo was a fish but I liked the name. :teeth:

Not yet...but if we get another cat, esp. if it is an orange one, I would like to name it Lambert, as in "Lambert the sheepish lion" (they show it on the cartoon channel at WDW all the time).

Yep, a kitty named Tinkerbell. And a kitty named Tigger.

I have a bird named Disney (Nanday Conure) when I found him I didn't know for sure if he was a boy or a girl so wanted a neutral name.
I also had a greyhound named Tinkerbell, she was so tiny she wouldn't have been able to race, so I rescued her she later became TinkyB.
I also have a cat named Binky although her original name was Bianca as in Miss Bianca of the Rescuers.

I breed ponies and they all have long registered nanes but short nicknames. We have had
Kanga
Tigger
Piglet
Roo
Winnie

Kanga and Tigger both jump very well and Piglet is ruled by food.

Our dog's name was Figment. We didn't specifically name her for the EPCOT mascot, but that whole "idea" kind of morphed it's way into us believing that we did. :confused3 (did that make any sense)

I had a cat named Figaro (from Pinocchio). She looked just like him too!
She was a psycho kitty but I loved her! :cat:

My kitty Nala:

When we got her from the pound, we were really struggling with naming her. But then she started acting all "royal", and Nala popped into my head and our whole family agreed it suited her nicely.

My male Doberman is called "Mickey" and it suits him well. He used to have a sister called Minnie as well, but it was just too much work having two dogs and I found her a good home. "Mickey" the Doberman has kind of a cool ring to it and he's a unique dog. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is a giant lap dog and prefers the foot of our bed with a small blanket over him to keep him warm. He's a couch junkie and thinks the floor is just for walking on and when you tell him to lay down on the floor, he gives you a "you got to be kidding me look".

Our Tibetan Spaniel is named Tinkerbell. Although we usually just call her Tinker.

Not Disney but we do have a couple of birds named from another entertainment studio ;) . Earlier this year we raised 2 clutches of Cockatiels. One was born in the middle of the night when Nick at Night was on the TV so we called him Nicky (he went to live with one of Lauri's employees) The last baby to be born was hatched while we were watching a Fairly Oddparents show on Nickelodeon so we named him Cosmo. That name was such a good choice for him because he is nothing but a goofy clown. :teeth:

And yes, I realize that two grown adults spend way too much time watching Nickelodeon. :happytv:

My guinie pig is named Zorro. It's a girl guinie pig, but I didn't want to change it after we found out.

We made a list of Disney names the day before we went to pick out our puppy, that was my only suggestion, that it have a Disney name. DD got to pick him out, and he fits the name perfectly. His name is Dash (from The Incredibles) and he even has a dash mark on his forhead, plus he's pretty speedy!
