Has anyone heard an update from Liz

about Laura? I am wondering how she is doing and what is the latest on her. I'm hoping and praying things are improving each day.

Liz's last update was Saturday morning.

The hospital is giving us a pass so Laura can leave the hospital for a couple of hours today after therapy so we can go to lunch as a family. I'm scared to death how its going to work with the wheelchair and all but we'll manage and I think it will be good for her spirits.

Yesterday she stood for 1 min. 11 seconds, but that was holding on to parallel bars with all her might and being supported a little bit around the waist by the therapist. But its a start. She also has to lock her knees to be able to stand because her muscles are too weak otherwise.

Monday we're having a big conference with the doctors, therapists, me, etc. to create a plan and goal for her, and then we'll know more about how long her stay in the hospital will be.

I bet we will hear something this evening, Brenda.

Thaks, Dan. I missed that somehow. I hope we hear more positive news soon. I know that Liz must be so totally stressed out.
