Has Anyone Ever Seen A Celebrity In Wdw

Not really an 'encounter' but my brother, Stewart Cink, is a professional golfer and any number of the golfers are fair game to be spotted park hopping with ther families on the days surrounding the pga disney gofl tournament. This year he 'parked' after his round on Sunday and then all day Monday, hitting all the major rides at each and even got dream fastpasses at AK!

our last trip (may 2007),,, my hubby and i saw Al Gore in "The Land" with an entourage. my husband could not believe i recognized him before he did, he was like look at that group of people in the suits..." i said "thats because they are trying to hide Al Gore",,,

We saw that kinda odd fellow who has been on all the talk shows because he dresses as Peter Pan 24/7 at WDW on 11/2. He was at the MNSSHP with a lady dressed as either a fairy or a Princess, I'm not sure which. I recognized that bowl cut and the Peter Pan clothes immediately. He is in his 50's and idolizes all things Peter Pan.

Just got back the 16th from a great, albeit crowded trip and have a celebrity encounter to report. It was 12:30 in the morning at MK. The park was practically empty when my wife and I decided to stop in at the watch store on Main St U.S.A. (the kids were at the hotel with gramma and grampa. My wife and I were the only guests in the store other than a mother and her child being shown some stuff behind the counter. The daughter saw a locket she liked and told her mom she wanted it, to which her mother replied that she could ask for it for Christmas. My wife and I thought nothing of it until the husband stuck his head in the door and said, "Kelly, we're gonna take off now". The husband I immediately recognized at John Travolta making the wife Kelly Preston. After she left the CM's were all abuzz about there celebrity encounter, I asked the one CM who was helping us if she sees celebrities all the time and she told me that was her first.
This encounter brought about a ton of questions, mostly from me about how a celebrity makes a trip to WDW. Do the make a regular reservation? Have their people call Disney people? Do they take the monorail back to the Polynesian if they are staying there or do the get their own 'Special' bus?

COOL :thumbsup2 I missed it by 2 days, I just came back on the 16th

I don't think I would recognize a celebrity in person if they walked up and bit me....(hmmm...i wonder IF celebrities bite) :scared: . You can tell I don't watch much TV or am into too many movies.

However, I did meet Bill Parcells this summer at Saratoga Race Course....not WDW I know....but that's about my extent of a brush with the rich and famous!

I am the same, I wouldn't recognise half of these American tv personalities/sports players. I would recognise movie stars if they weren't too disguised though!

I maintain that my Mum bumped into Meg Ryan at Downtown Disney in Disneyland CA, in Dept 56. Mum asked her what a "votive" was (as it was not a common term over here at the time). She seemed very nice and just a regular person, but both my sister and I both independently thought she looked heck of a like Meg Ryan but with longer hair.

Well, shortly after our return we saw pictures of Meg Ryan in a magazine or online and she was sporting longer hair than usual, so that really convinced me that it was really her!

Did I mention my Mum also accidentally poked this lady's head with an ornament when in the queue to pay at the same store??? heheheh, how embarrassing!

Does Disneyland sighting count? At different times we saw Jane Seymour, Richard Thomas, Steve Martin and Johnny Depp (before Pirates fame). My mom saw Walt Disney and he even talked to her.

ITA about the sports figure sightings. My dad went nuts when he saw a bunch of football players that just won the Superbowl but I didn't know who they were or even what team they were from.

I probebly wouldn't recognize many celebs if I saw them...however when we were at the Magic Kingdom last week on 11-12 I saw Samantha Brown there doing a taping for the Travel Channel. I know she's not ahuge celebrity...but I love that channel so I recognized her...but when I told my family they had never heard of her.

Bruce Springsteen was in the magic kingdom last night. but he dressed totaly opposite to his persona. so you probably wouldn't have recognized him.

We saw Danny Devito Ria Pearlman and their whole family when we were staying at the Grand Floridian one thanksgiving. Also we were in the same monorail as Roseanne one year.

I saw Sissy Spacek last year at Fantasmic! I wanted to say " hi sissy", but I didn't have the guts incase I was wrong:rotfl:

Years ago with friends, we saw John Goodman in the Neon Armadillo at Pleasure Island. (I know, I'm dating myself.) He got right up on stage with the band and they jammed to "Johnny B Good". So cool.

THAT is a cool celebrity sighting! I am a huge Bela fan. :thumbsup2

My friend saw Victor Wooten on the dock at the Swan/Dolphin the week before last.

Victor is the bass player for Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and is one of the most influential, skilled bass players to ever walk the earth. The guy is mind blowing.

Yet he can still walk around WDW virtually unnoticed.

We were enjoying some Fish and Chips when we saw...Doogie Houser, MD

Nice! Neil Patrick Harris is/was doing the Candlelight processional sometime this week or last week.
