I have the ultimate WDW/celebrity story.
My DH and I were in WDW for Mardi Gras of 2006. Our last day there, we went to Epcot. We went to Soaring and were sick of being stuck on the last row on the end (every freaking time that trip). So when I saw how many were in front of me and our number was up AGAIN, I asked the CM nicely "Is there any way we can sit in the middle ... towards the front." He motioned for us to go forward and to my dismay, I saw three people already waiting for the prime seats. DANG! So we went to row 2 and leaned on the rail towards them.
Then I heard the voice ...
then I looked up ...
then I saw Roy Disney himself ... three inches from me!!!! EEK!!
So, it was just myself, my DH, Roy and his wife and a Disney Ambassador for the longest time. Should I talk to him? Should I bug him? Should I attempt to take a pic of myself with him in the background? OMG, he is the closest being I have ever seen to Walt himself!
I decided not to bug him ... mostly at the influence of my husband. I mean, Roy was trying to be somewhat low-key, obviously. So there I stood ... next to Roy Disney for the entire pre-show then had his shoes hanging in my face the entire ride. As we all left the ride, he went the opposite direction and ran into me, face to face, as people who were too excited snapped pics and blinded the man with flashes.
The pre-show was funny though. As soon as it started, he said "That's Elaine's boyfriend!" Roy is a Seinfeld fan!
