Has anyone ever had problems with Disney gift cards from Target?

Like them not being activated or something?
I haven't had problems, but I'm going to be buying a bunch soon, and I worry about everything, so I just wanted to ease my mind :)

I have bought a bunch in multiple transactions and had no problem with activation. The receipt from the store will say if each card is activated.

I haven't been able to use the cards to pay off my balance online, but my impression is that's because of MDE issues, not the cards. I was able to confirm their balances on the site. Need to take some time and give them a call soon to pay.

I have bought several and have never had a problem using them at Disney World. I do make sure they are activated when I purchase them.

Thanks guys! :) So I don't plan on doing FP+...I can just bring the gift cards to the resort and buy my tickets there, right??

Just be sure that they are activated when you are at the check out register at Target.

I've never had an issue with Disney gift cards from Target (or anywhere else) but regardless of where I buy them, I keep the receipt or at least cut off the portion where it shows it was activated and keep it with the card.

We have paid for all of our trips and our current cruise using Disney gift cards and have had no problems with them. I did not even have to talk to anyone to input them online for DCL just entered them 3 at a time through the system. 5% savings on 4000.00 was worth the 20 minutes inputting them :)

Keep the receipt until you use up all the cards. The number of each card should be listed on your receipt.

I keep and the receipt and also check the balance on the Disney site.

We bought enough to buy annual passes and Target made us buy them $300 worth at a time, but all in the same day. :confused3 Something to do with Red Card debit limits? So we had many packets of 6 $50 cards, which we wrapped in the receipts for organization, then came home and entered each number carefully into the website to make sure they all ended up activated.

It was a pain but worth it to save almost 10% on that big purchase. Thinking about doing the same for a cruise next year.

I bought 4 $50.00 Disney GC cards from Target online. When I tried to pay them toward a cruise it turned out none had been activated. I have called and they have promised to respond but it is taking them an unusually long time to fix. Maybe they are busy!
Disney gift cards were purchased Nov. 10th and problem still not resolved.

No problems. In the 3+ years I've gotten them, I've probably bought 2K worth (yeah, not as much as other DIS'ers) but never any problems.

I have a TON of Disney gift cards I bought online...guess I better check online to make sure they were activated!

Typical Target online Customer Support!:worried:

You definitely need to check each and every one.

Save the receipt. I had one card out of many that didn't work. I just took it back to target when I got home. They credited back my money.

Hmm...to buy the gift cards or not....it would only save me about 30$...

I don't think it's worth it for 5% off. Too much trouble keeping track of the cards, making sure they give you the right ones back for a partial payment, etc.
