I am in the same boat - never been, but can't afford the trip now. We are planning for Nov 2006, the week after T-Giving. The group will be myself, DH, DD7, DD4, and soon to be born #3 who will be 13 months. That threw my trip plans in an uproar! We were not planning on a toddler in tow! From what I have heard and read about here, as long as I relax about it and don't plan on having a commando attitude towards our trip, things will go fine. I am also new to this board, so this will be my VERY FIRST post! Good luck everyone!

I have never been to WDW, neither has my husband. We are going for the first time ever in November. We are really excited! I have been to Disneyland so many times, I can't even keep track. That is because I grew up 30 miles away from the gates of DL park.
Good luck planning! These boards are the best place to get the most up to date info.

We will also be going in October for the first time, Very excited . Me DH,DD13,DD6. The only thing I'm a little nervous about is pulling DD13 out of school for 5 days with it being her first year of jr.high, but hopefully the teachers are ok with it and give her all her homework.We will be there 10/2-10/8 at POR.

My first trip to Disney World was in 1990 and I was 39. I had been wanting to go to a Disney park forever -- I use to sit in front of the television and watch Walt on Sunday nights and dream about being able to go to Disneyland.

So I saved for 2 years so that we could afford to go -- DH, DD (5), & DD (12). I used the Official and the Unoffical books. We followed the Dumbo do or die schedule -- everything was planned -- even bathroom breaks. We arrived at the parks 1-1/2 hours before opening every single day. At the MK, I knew exactly where the closest place to stand to be able to sprint (no run, of course) to Space Mountain. Not only did we open the parks, we closed the parks.

I knew that I had spend 2 years saving for this trip and I was going to see EVERYTHING. Well, at the time there were only 3 parks, and we saw just about everything. And... I was hooked.

It took me another 2 years to save enough to go back, but I got better at budgeting and found these boards so our trips became more cost effective. After that 2nd trip in 1992 -- we have been back at least 2 sometimes 3 times every single year.

Keep Dreaming and Saving -- you'll get there too.

Welcome to Dis and I planned my first Disney Cruise using Dis and still find lots of new stuff from the boards, and I've been going about twice a month this year. I have never been to DL and will soon be planning my first trip in 2007, after at 10 day cruise to Alaska for my 50th birthday. Unfortunately, 1 trip to WDW and you may be hooked. It's why I moved to Florida.
