Has anyone else filed 2015 taxes ?

Got the forms from my property manager today, just waiting for the ones from my mortgage company. Also, my work emailed everyone saying they didn't include a form we were supposed to get, so now I need to wait for that too. Sigh.

We filed ours two days ago. It was accepted by the IRS the same day, lol. But we are really simple as far as taxes go. Don't own a house yet, some small student loans but nothing serious, no kids, we both got our w-2's in a timely manner.

I'm waiting for something from the school and our mortgage company, but otherwise we are ready and waiting to go! Have been for over a week now! Unfortunately, our refund is going straight to paying off some debt and put into the emergency fund. One day, I would like to use that money to go on vacation instead! LOL! Maybe next year!!

We e-file everything and it seems like we get everything accepted and our refund deposited pretty quickly every year!

I filed ours January 8th, as well as my SIL taxes, and we both got a text from the IRS saying they had been accepted today!? I was under the impression that they wouldn't start accepting returns till the 18th? Does it mean our refund will be sooner? I've always heard of a few certain people getting randomly selected to be processed early but it has never happened to us?

Still missing one document, so no. I'll do it by Feb 7th or so, I'm thinking. A whopping $286 back at this point (better than owing, though!).
DH's company did electronic, as did the student loan company.

We use ours for vacation funds almost every year! Lol. We save for other things throughout the year and try to be really diligent about that, so when tax return comes around we always do something fun with it :lovestruc this year it's paying for our trip to Japan!

Only missing one document here now as well - hoping it'll come in the mail today.

We had everything except the 1095-C after receiving our w-2s yesterday. So, DH and I sat down last night to go through it and figured we'd just skip the 1095-C part and get everything else done. Turns out that 1095-C is just a click box of yes or no, so if you're waiting on that (like us) no need to wait. If you have insurance from your work you j ust click it and done! Nice to have half of our refund on the way...waiting for 3/1 before our state will begin issuing refunds.

We bought the kids an outdoor playset, have a $250ish home repair and putting the rest towards our car loan! It's not even come in yet and it's already gone!

I might have a few stragglers coming in yet. I have to go over my checklist. Not sure I have stuff from DH's 401k yet. Anyway, I input everything in today to see where I stand and I was pleased... owe about $50 to state and getting back a decent chunk - more than last year. I was worried because we both saw sizeable raises mid year, and I adjusted withholdings, but I was very nervous about having to owe. I will probably file in about 2 weeks... I like to time my refund to come right around when my bonus does...makes my bank account look super fat for a few days ;)

ETA - $500 of the refund and $500 of the bonus are going to Spring Training with me. Everything else sits in an account waiting for something in the house to break..

I filed on 1/22 and got my refund today

Wow! That is awesome. I had filed on 1/22 also. It was accepted in less than one hour.
According to TurboTax 1% of people that had e filed that day, have received their refund. I ain't in that percentile yet. Lol
I normally receive DD within 10 days. But this year, who knows?

We always seem to wait for our 1099-HC from our health insurance company. It's always the last form we get.

I've never heard of anyone receiving a refund within 4 days of filing. That doesn't even make any real sense to me. But then I do not work for the IRS or as an accountant either. Lol

Never file early...we wait until April as we pay every year Can't even remember when the last time we got money back...

What a bummer man! Let me guess? According to the government, you as a married couple earn "too much money" or don't have enough tax write offs.
I hope you get a nice refund this or next year.

Got my W2 yesterday and my mortgage interest statement in the last couple weeks. Dropping off my paperwork at the preparer's on Monday. I don't have anything special so I feel pretty lucky to be able to drop off so quickly.

I can't wait until next year when all I will have to file is a W-2. In 2015 I sold my house which I had been renting out for 3 years. It's making my tax filing a confusing mess and I think I'm going to need to pay someone to do them for me. I feel as frustrated as I did back in the days of my Algebra classes in high school. I am so not a numbers person, ha!

We are waiting on one more W-2. Everything else is entered and ready to go!

We filed and were accepted on the 19th and have not seen a refund. Keep waiting, but nope. This is definitely the longest we've ever waited. :crazy2:

It happened to me one year with my federal return. I filed on a Monday, it was immediately accepted, and I had my refund direct deposited that Friday.

I haven't received my federal refund this year yet :( I'm hoping it will arrive this Friday. I don't track the NYS one -- that one is always small and I just use it for a BJs Wholesale stock-up shopping.
