Has anyone else filed 2015 taxes ?

I am waiting for all my tax documents, w-2's, mortgage interest, everything. I hope soon.

All of the documents we need are available online, so that certainly makes it easier; we receive DH's paper w-2 in the mail after we have received our refund .

We had all of our documents except the w-2 by the 9th and the w-2 was posted on the 17th (I thought it was odd to be posted on a Sunday, but I'm happy to have it regardless). The online program I use had one form we need that hadn't been loaded, so I had to wait until yesterday to file.

Now it's just waiting for the refund.

I was trying to do the efile where you fill out the fillable forms yourself but I can't the forms to load. I am thinking of buying some tax prep software instead. Any suggestions? Once I buy it, can I use it for multiple years?

Was told at work that our W-2 won't be mailed until the 30th, and online won't be available until then as well. My wife got hers in the mail yesterday, but still waiting on a 1098-T from her University and that isn't online yet either (same with me). Won't be filing right away anyway, last year we owed the state money and got $50-something back from the feds. Should be the same this year.

We got our W-2's this week but I'm still waiting for the forms from my mortgage company and property manager. Eager to get them since I think I'll be getting money back this year finally.

I'm self employed and usually end up owing large amounts of money so I wait to file until almost the last possible day- would rather keep the money as long as possible

I would suggest using an online program, like TaxAct, instead of buying software (extra steps of going to store, installing the program, updating each year, etc)

Same here. Filed yesterday..haven't been accepted. In the past, I felt like the return was accepted within a few hours. As of right now, it has been 24 hours.

Got day care form in the mail yesterday and filed federal, state forms not completed yet so can't file return. Don't you just love govt? Federal not accepted yet, filed after 4pm yesterday...

That seems odd. Normally the Fed tax return is accepted within 24 hours from the time it is electronically submitted.
Probably just a tech issue with the system.
Hopefully it has been accepted by now.

I filed around 8:00pm on 1/22 and it was excepted about 2 hours later

I got my W2 and filed on 1/20 and the IRS accepted it the same day. NYS accepted it 2 days later. Still no word on the refund yet, though

I filed on Sunday and it was accepted Monday morning. Waiting to hear when I will get my refund.
