Has anyone else filed 2015 taxes ?

I filed on the 31st, and it was immediately accepted; however it still hasn't been approved. Getting worried as many of you have filed around the same time as me and not only were accepted and approved but received your refunds. My return is pretty simple too!

What do you mean by approved? Mine were accepted right away. I don't remember getting an approval message last year.

When you look at the "Where's my refund" page there are thtree steps.
First is "accepted", then "Approved" then "Refund issued".
My return was accepted immediately, but they haven't approved my refund yet, which is strange because I have gotten a refund every year for the past 18 years (one benefit to having children!)

Huh - I use Turbo Tax and it just says to expect my refund before the 27th. When I go to the page you're talking about, it gives me a warning that there is no privacy so I won't be entering my SSN and other info into that.

I broke down and checked the where's my refund site then checked my state site. Both have been approved and I should have the deposits by next Tuesday (hopefully earlier)!

I used turbo tax. Time to up my 401k we ended up owing this year. Lower education credits to a toll on us.

Got my federal refund today. Six days after filing! State refund should be deposited early next week!

I am getting more and more concerned that I still havent received my refund. I filed on 1-31 and it still hasnt been approved. Ughh

I filed on 2/2, and my status just updated to "approved" yesterday. I wouldn't worry about it yet. For reference, I filed my kids' returns on the same day, and they've already received their refunds. If you haven't received an update to "approved" after three weeks from the date you filed, you can call the IRS. Last year my refund was significantly delayed for numerous reasons. As I was researching, I read that many people had great success calling the IRS tax advocate phone number. I recall that there were issues with concerns about identity theft or something along those lines and by calling the advocate, they were able to speed up the process of clearing up the IRS' concern about the identification of the taxpayer.

The more schedules included with your return, the longer it takes between "accepted" and "approved". The computers are busily cross referencing each document included with your return with the records provided to them buy employers, investment firms, social security, banks, educational institutions etc. Also, the number of returns received per day and the hardware at the IRS which has been down twice, are a factor.

I would love to get them done, we sit and wait for the employer to give us our 1099 forms this is frustrating.

Should be getting ours Friday according irs site. I submitted through Turbo tax last Monday or Tuesday

Still waiting for approval after 11 days (filed on 2/7). State refund was deposited yesterday.

Filed 2/8, notice today that it has been approved...will be deposited on Monday, the 22. WOOT!!

Day 12 and not approved:( I had to call my ex and confirm he hadn't claimed the kids which he hasn't.

Filed by our accountant yesterday.

I still have to go back and make changes to my son's FAFSA-- that will probably happen this weekend.

Does anyone have a number for the IRS? I cannot figure how to speak to someone by calling 800-829-1040. I can only get pre-recorded prompts
