Has anyone else filed 2015 taxes ?

It happened to me one year with my federal return. I filed on a Monday, it was immediately accepted, and I had my refund direct deposited that Friday.

I haven't received my federal refund this year yet :( I'm hoping it will arrive this Friday. I don't track the NYS one -- that one is always small and I just use it for a BJs Wholesale stock-up shopping.

That's interesting. And awesome!
I'm waiting too. I hope you receive yours real soon.

We filed yesterday afternoon. Both federal and state were instantly accepted. Now to wait for our refunds.

Got mine finished last night. Owe the state almost $300 and getting back an amazing $39 from federal. Gonna wait until the 9th or 10th to file just in case something else hasn't shown up that I am not remembering to ad.

We had everything except the 1095-C after receiving our w-2s yesterday. So, DH and I sat down last night to go through it and figured we'd just skip the 1095-C part and get everything else done. Turns out that 1095-C is just a click box of yes or no, so if you're waiting on that (like us) no need to wait. If you have insurance from your work you j ust click it and done!

thanks for that info. we got an e-mail in December from the HR director about the 1095C form with an attachment. Printed the document Friday to do my taxes this weekend, looked at the paper yesterday after I installed Turbo Tax and it was just paper showing that the form would look like, 1095C was not included in my W2 envelope either. I live in MA so we have been getting a 1099HC for years, guess I was expecting another document.

Turbo Tax says I am good to go so will file today. Not a big return but covers the cost of my new front door, bedroom window and OOP for a dental crown. prety happy with that.

We filed and were accepted on the 25th and have a dd set for the 3rd. This is the first year for a refund but we added a few new deductions this year.

I can't wait until next year when all I will have to file is a W-2. In 2015 I sold my house which I had been renting out for 3 years. It's making my tax filing a confusing mess and I think I'm going to need to pay someone to do them for me. I feel as frustrated as I did back in the days of my Algebra classes in high school. I am so not a numbers person, ha!

We sold one of our rental properties this year too. I agree, doing the taxes were more challenging this time. Selling our other rental this coming summer so I get to look forward to complicated taxes again for 2016.

I filed my taxes tonight (party animal here) and the federal one was accepted within a half hour. Hope my refund is speedy too!

The IRS retrieval tool for the FAFSA opened today. I just linked my return to the FASFA we filed last month.

You do not need your 1095B or 1095C to file your taxes if you know for a fact which months you were insured, especially if you had health insurance for all twelve months of 2015 through the same insurer. The IRS will begin cross referencing 1095s with tax return data in June. Employers and insurers were given an extension of time to get the forms out until March 1st.

Your taxes just need to be accepted to be able to use the retrieval tool right? It doesn't matter that we haven't gotten our refund yet?

They ask how long ago you filed and then the tool is either open for you or not. I know we received ourrefund Jan 29, so They asked if it had been three weeks since we filed and I said yes.

I filed last Sunday night, it was instantly accepted and I got the direct deposit on Friday. So happy to get that done. Love TurboTax.

What a bummer man! Let me guess? According to the government, you as a married couple earn "too much money" or don't have enough tax write offs.
I hope you get a nice refund this or next year.

Just because someone doesn't get a refund (or receives a smaller one) doesn't mean they necessarily pay any more in taxes. It just means the amount they had withheld from their paycheck was closer to the correct amount. Their actual tax amount may even be smaller than someone who got back a huge refund.

Just fantastic....decided to file this afternoon. Both had already been excepted. On hold with the IRS right now to figure this out.

Filed this morning, accepted within an hour. Should have it in my account by the 19th :)

Got a notice that it should be deposited by the 10th, woop! Our fears of what winning the Flipside Sweepstakes trip would do to our taxes this year was unfounded. It dropped our refund a fair bit, but we did not owe, thank goodness! :)

I wish they were doing this contest again this year! I was really looking forward to entering every day and following along to see the winners. :)

I filed on the 31st, and it was immediately accepted; however it still hasn't been approved. Getting worried as many of you have filed around the same time as me and not only were accepted and approved but received your refunds. My return is pretty simple too!
