Hi,

What do you think of this rate for hard rock hotel? I think it seems pretty good..

30th Sep - 5th Oct (5 nights)
$140 per night, Total $790 inc taxes. So approx £500 for 5 nights.
Was only going to stay 3 nights originally and but its only just over $100 more for the extra 2 nights with the stay more, save more offer they have on.

Think this is a good deal?

Im so excited for you, truly wish I was going back.

I just booked one night in August for $347.53. That was painful but we've GOTTA see Harry Potter land. I am hoping that something better comes along but one night during the summer is a long shot. I am definitely not happy about the Harry Potter disclaimer I was given when booking "Universal Express Pass only good for 1 ride at Harry Potter attractions".:sad1:

I didnlt see this when we booked our night but I donlt think that will be a big problem. We are going in August and having the front of line access in that heat and crowds is worth the room price, espacially as the pass can be used on check in day and departure day:cool1:

Sorry to hijack but just been checking out the options for August and it is only an additional $9 per day to stay at HRH instead of RPR. Has anyone stayed at both who can say which is better. Although $9 is not a huge amount, it would be over $50 for the 6 nights we're hoping to stay and that is befor ethe tax is added on.

So, is Hard Rock worth the extra?

I've stayed at both and I think I preferred RPR. HRH is nice but the theming is a bit too 'cool' for my liking! RPR was warmer and more inviting (quite Poly-esque).

I had read on the universal boards on here about only one fotl pass for harry potter! i'm guessin that will be one per day? so at least i'l get 5 lol! ;)
I am soooo excited about Harry Potter, wasn't supposed to be going to Florida this year but had to see Harry Potter!! :wizard:

Great pics orlandothebeagle! :goodvibes

Ive stayed one night in Hard RocK Hotel a few years back, thought it was AMAZING! Was only gona book one or two nights but couldn't resist that offer! :lmao:

Now just hoping Halloween Horror Nights starts that early in Oct? :confused3

Can't Wait!

I agree with Disney Princess, I stayed one night in both in 2006, Hard Rock Hotel is just COOL
RPR had a much more relaxed, chilled feel, so guess it depends what your looking for? I've booked HRH because I know my boyfriend (whose never been to orlando) will love it as he is really into his rock music..:rockband:

Are we friends on FB Lauren? If not can you add me please 'Joanne Alcock' - I can't look at FB at the moment because I'm at work and we're not allowed to view FB here but I will certainly have a look later when I get home.

DH and I had a look around RPR on a previous trip in August 07 and loved the look of the hotel but Hard Rock is tempting :confused3

Can i have a look please hun? i'm staying at HRH in May. would love to have a few more pics to look at :)

Of course! Sent you a PM.

Yep, we're friends on FB. :thumbsup2

ETA: The RPR pics are in the album called 'Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, Florida- May 2008' and the HRH pics are in the album called 'Orlando, Florida- September 2009 (part 1)' (pages 3 and 4).

We stayed at RPR in '06 and it is great. The pool was a bit of a disappointment though so we ended up taking the ferry every day over to the Hard Rock pool (pool hopping is allowed at Universal). HRH is $40 more per night when I will be there in August but I decided to bite the bullet for one night in the name of more pool & less hopping.
