It's been one year since this furry little creature entered our lives.
She has taught us many lessons on caring for those smaller or weaker than the rest and has really become a member of the family.
Here's a picture I took yesterday of Jessie holding her. It's not as easy to get pictures as it used to be....she gets away too fast anymore!!
Again, thank you to all of you who helped me get through those early days. Thanks for the good wishes, advice, leading me to those who actually rehab bunnies for a living, or for just listening to a very proud mommy of a very special fur-baby!

Bunnies are great.
When I look at her now, it is hard to believe she used to fit in the palm of my hand. She has started a new habit with me if I pick her up shortly after I have eaten. She will sniff my face (which if you have ever had a rabbit do to you is something that REALLY makes it hard NOT to sneeze!
) and focus in on the area around my mouth. If there is any trace of salt, she will actually lick my face!
I started pulling out the love seat, only to have her hop out the other end!!

The wild-life rehab center never called me back the day I found her. I left a few messages, each being very clear in the fact that I had Thumper in the house. A couple weeks had passed and I called again with a question (no intention on turning her over) and they gave me so much grief! (I had no right to have a wild rabbit, it was against the law and I could be fined, I didn't know what I was doing and could kill Thumper............gee....if it was such horrible, you would of thought they would of called me back 2 weeks sooner!
